Seems to me he played PG at Morehead in the late 60's. Not 100% sure.

I thought there was a Terry Sandfoss from Silver Grove at NC in the late 70s/early 80s, but I didn't think he played college ball. Perhaps you are referencing his father/uncle. Either way, a solid hoops family.

There is Terry Sr and Terry Jr. Junior played late 80's. If I remember correctly, he was voted/ nominated athlete of the decade in an article published in the KY Post years ago.

DeWayne Webb on the boys side

Also Beth Williamson, Kyle Booth and Myra Nevils for consideration

Didn't Jock Sutherland coach the boys to the Sweet Sixteen in early 60's.

Yes the team with Joe Lowe. I was assuming just players originally, but now see coaches added. He would have to be on there. Thanks coach

Lawnboy13, very enjoyable thread. Thanks for allowing this old guy to remember the 60's and 70's when there weren't 3 point goals, bounce passes were barely tolerated, behind the back passes would be rwarded with immediate bench time, dunking was illegal and downright showing-off! As a friend reminded me, "the older we get, the better we use to be!" Great thread!!

St. Thomas:

Phil Hasson

Matt Geissler

?

Coach: Ken Shields

Deming

Scotty Graves

Joe Mitchell

King Twins

Coach?

No Stephen Staggs? led them to the only District title they've had in the last 25 years. Or maybe even Gayle Conley.

THIS is why we're gonna talk about this on our show Wednesday night. GREAT debate topic.

Montgomery County

Omar Prewitt (Division 1) all time leading scorer

Billy Ray Fawns (Division 1-to NAIA)2nd all time leading scorer

Ryan Steger (Division 1) 4th all time leading scorer

Jeff Taylor (Division 2) 7th all time leading scorer without 3 point line 3 of his years

Ken Lee (Lees Jr College) pound for pound and inch for inch was unstoppable.

You are correct. I'd take the King boys off and add him. Good catch

Mason County:

Chris O'Hearn (player and coach)

Ronnie Lyons

Darius Miller

Chris Lofton

Fairdale

Jermaine Brown - 1991 Mr. Basketball / State Tournament MVP 1990 and 1991

Maurice Morris - 1st Team All-State 1990 and 1991 and All-State Tournament Team

Forest Able - 1950 State Tournament Team -Drafted by Syracuse Nationals…when there were ONLY NINE TEAMS in the NBA

Honorable Mention:

Carlos Turner - 1991 - All-State Tournament Team - 1st Team All-State

Eric Martin - 1994 - State Tournament Team - Kentucky All-Stars - National Junior College National Championship MVP - Started at Oklahoma

Rayshawn Morris -1994 State Tournament MVP - National Junior College Championship All-Tournament Team

It's hard to pick just four out of this group.

St. Thomas:

Phil Hasson

Matt Geissler

Coach: Ken Shields

Carl Hafele from St. Thomas would be No. 2 behind Phil Hasson. Ken Shields is definitely the coach. Kenny has the distinction of being on the Mount Rushmore for two 9th region schools in Highlands and St. Thomas. He would also be on the NKU Mount Rushmore for the head coach, barely edging out Mote Hils.
