I'd like to jack-slap the NBC director in charge of the camera shots during the medal ceremonies. One of the things that always made me "proud" of watching us win, was seeing the stars and stripes raised to the rafters while the national anthem was played. I think I've seen that happen three times. That's it. Now, all they do is show a token two-second close up shot of the flag...that you can't even tell it's being raised! Come on, man! :rage:

I know some of you swim but for those who don't...it's hard to explain how difficult it is to keep a pace like that even for a short distance. She is an absolute freak

I don't even see how it's possible to muster the endurance needed to race a sprint. The distance races are even more mind blowing.

Well just about all of them have 6-8 packs and not the kind most members on this board consume on the daily. I wonder what the average body fat % is of our USA mens swim team. Those guys use food as fuel and nothing more.

Now we can focus on track. Tori Bowie of the USA wins the silver in the 100. Where she grew up isn't far from where my grandmother lives in Mississippi. Very small and kinda run down town. Awesome for her!

To me, nothing is more entertaining than the men's 400m in track. Can't wait till the finals tonight (Sunday).

USA ends the night with 24 gold 18 silver 18 bronze for a total of 60, while second place China ends the night with 13 gold 11 silver 17 bronze for a total of 41.

USA is guaranteed a gold and silver in mixed doubles tennis since both are USA.

Lots of ground for either Kuchar or Watson to make up to try and get a medal. Three strokes off the medal stand for Watson before the round starts and six strokes behind the leader, Justin Rose.

Rose clearly loves international competition. The guy has been rolling this week. Also has ten lifetime Ryder Cup points won in three appearances.

Matt Kuchar having a great day on the golf course. Up to -11 now and in bronze medal position, two strokes up on fourth place.

Kinda fun watching men's field hockey. In the states, I think it's just a women's sport, right?

Kuchar 7-under today now on this charge. Five birdies and an eagle. He's three strokes behind gold medal position and three strokes clear of fourth place. Just drove the green on the par four No. 15. What a day for him. Can't get over it.

I'm dialed into the golf as well....C'mon Kooch!!!

Rose is a beast. Kuchar is going to need some help to medal higher than bronze, and he needs to birdie these last 2 holes. A lot of golf left to be played!

Rose just found a bunker off the tee. That may help...:lol2:

Putting too much on that long eagle putt last hole really hurt him. Had a chance to get within two but left himself way too much coming back the other way.

Sorry to see Kuchar leave that birdie putt short on 18! Roses save par putts have been key these last few holes!

And here comes Stenson...tied with 2 holes to play!
