I watched tonight and it was a fun game. I may try to watch a little more next season

We just watched the most physically talented player in the history of the game take down the most statistically dominant offensive weapon of all time. In 7 games. With the title decided in the final minute.

 

We could walk away talking about how awesome it was, or find a reason to be miserable about something random...

I didn't watch a lot of the NBA this year too. Tonight's game was the most entertained I've truly been by it in a long time, probably back to my teenage years.

Always been an LBJ fan, and I'm tickled to death that he put the Cavs on his shoulders to win it.

 

I'm playing golf in the morning, but I'll enjoy watching tomorrow's First Take replay.

Yeah him and ESPN couldn't reach a deal, Fox will pay him big money supposedly. Really excited but I've looked at his tweets and he's already started the Kyrie should've been MVP garbage because he can't give LeBron any credit, and how the Spurs would have beat the Cavs. Sad it'll be his last show with Stephen A, I enjoy watching them in small doses.

 

I've never understood the LeBron choking thing either, I'm almost positive he has the highest amount of PPG in elimination games.

 

LeBron is simply the best overall player ever, and at his highest peak there's nobody who can touch what he does.

 

Kyrie can flat out score and I forgot who I debated with before the series about him being a better overall scorer than Westbrook, but I was right. (Go me!! Lol) stepped up a lot on defense.

 

Tristan Thompson was the man, Kevin Love had a rough series but he has a ring and played a big role in game 7.

 

For the Warriors, I wouldn't blame Draymond. Warriors wouldn't have won that game, and you can not blame this series on anyone specifically because the Cavs played excellent D but Curry missed shots he's made all season as did Thompson, but I would say Curry took more stupid shots (he's made them all year though). Offensive machine of a team that'll be back.

 

Series shouldn't have went 7 IMO, glad it did but Cleveland didn't join the series until game 3.

 

I hope LeBron stays, but he fulfilled his promise and did exactly what he was expected to do when Cleveland drafted him.

LeBron simply took charge and played out of his mind. You saw how bad he wanted it and I respect the hell out of him for it. Class act and in the convo for GOAT.

 

What's crazy is if Irving doesn't make that shot and the Warriors ended up winning. Fair or not fair many people probably would have questioned James play at the end in the last 4 minutes about he probably be worn down because he came up short on a lot for his shots those last 4 minutes. However someone stepped up finally for him and made the big shot, this way their is no possible way to question him. He was amazing these last 3 games.

What a game! I believe tonight's game answered the question to people questioning whether or not the NBA is fixed. James and Irving was unreal, especially the last three of the finals. Tonight is the most I've been entertained and on the edge of my seat watching the NBA for a long time. Can't be happier for the city and fans of Cleveland, long waited and well deserved.

 

Actually the way it worked out would be an argument for the NBA being fixed. But it's not.

Props to the Warriors for making the regular season as exciting as it was. They played the equivalent of about 35 game 7 type intensity games through the year. You can't tell me that didn't take some kind of mental/physical toll, and I think you saw it through the playoffs.... especially as the play got more physical. Not to mention being in the West is more taxing.

Harrison Barnes played a heck of a series and made himself some money.

You can't go scoreless for 4 minutes plus to end games like this and expect to win the championship. A big part of it was the Cav's D, but the Warriors also panicked and took some bad shots. Congrats to the Cavs for getting it done.
