HammerTime
Doing some minor renovations to the kitchen and was considering painting the cabinet vs buying new ones. They are in good shape, but old and outdated (Oak). The various cabinet transformation kits I've looked at online had great reviews surprisingly. Has anyone tried this before? Rust-Oleum has a kit I've seen a lot of people mention online. Rust-Oleum Transformations 1 qt. Jumper_Dad
As long as the surface is prepped to receive the new paint or finish, it should work well. Just don't try to paint directly onto the stain or varnish, the paint will peel really easily.
TAC
Mrs TAC painted my old cherry bedroom set and a couple of vanities. Used some type of thing similar to what you are looking at. Prepped it, painted and waxed it. Put a little distress look into as well. Turned out very nice.
sweet16
Before we moved we were going to do this to update our old house. I've seen some look really good.
HammerTime
After some more reviewing, I'm not going to do the kit from Rustoleum. I will just get the supplies on my own.

UKMustangFan
We used the Rustoleum kit. It was a very time-consuming process, but it worked well. Can't beat the cost either.
