Carr to Holmes makes a lot of sense.

If Brad is gone, it is a shame and will sure miss watching him coach. As a Holmes grad I have know Coach Carr and his family for years, nothing but class and hard working. Some one else stated Coach Listerman was out at Holmes, this is simply not true unless that happened today. Sure hope Coach Carr continues to coach.

I've heard Listerman is done at Holmes so Carr would likely be interested in going back to his Alma Mater.

I would love to see this happen! I believe Carr applied to be Holmes coach back in 2013 when Booher got the job.

My impression was that Reynolds Flynn was very disciplined and strict and he had great success at Holmes.

I think it's a little bit of both. Many coaches "back in the day" were unnecessarily harsh and abrasive. But I do think that parents are a little too sensitive at times, and don't recognize that negative feedback and criticism isn't all bad, or isn't a personal attack on their kid.

My guess is this will take some time. Scott is a pretty good gig, with a solid core of returning players. The right guy will be able to step right in and have some success. There is a solid pipeline of younger players for the future as well.

 

As to who that may be, I have no clue.

I have known coach Car for several years and he has my highest respect. You can tell he really cares about his players. I hate this for him and his family.Hang in there coach, things happen for a reason. I am sure better things will come of this for you and your family. This is diffidently Scott Highs loss.

Like Jeff and Brad a lot... but if Jeff is taping conversations of people then this story is more of an indictment on him than Brad being asked to step down or being fired. People get fired all the time and get new jobs.... but underhandedness sticks.

Too sensitive. This generation maybe tougher physically due to weights and different workouts. BUT they are so much weaker mentally. If this generation had my coach most of them would quit. I love what my old school coach did for me. He made me tougher mentally which made me tougher physically. I wouldn't trade it for anything.

The kids may be just as tough, but the parents are definitely weaker mentally. They can't deal with people being tough on their kids. It's the "time out" culture/conundrum. If you put your kid in "time out" as punishment, you probably are not on board with "tough love" from a coach.
