Brad Carr out at Scott?

Featured Replies

Disappointed to find out that a group of young men stabbed in the back a coach that had the backs of each & every player in that locker room at all times.

They might not regret it today, next week or next month, but at some point they will regret what they did. They cost a guy his job.

Excellent post 4pp.

I think what they mean that the fight was not handled right was because they did not try to break it up. I feel if Brad Carr was there he'd body slam someone.

I think this recording took place during the game between SK and Scott which I attended. I noticed that Trame was not playing so I assumed he was hurt, maybe that is when the recording took place. And it was not released til now so Carr could not punish him.

Earlier

Happened at Christmas from what I was told.

And held it till the end of the season. SMH

I did hear that Carr likes to use a word a lot and it is similar to a feline.

probably not like this either:

Hmmmm...

Cheetah, leopard, puma, wildcat, civet, lion, tiger, jaguar, lynx??? These are all synonyms of feline according to Roget's? :idunno:

I'm willing to bet other coaches have used it and other precious words as well. There is a bond that these kids have. What goes on in the locker room stays in the locker room. Well at least it should. My boys never peeped about what was said during or after a game. They took their lumps when they screwed up and took the pat on the back or the hug when they did something right. Part of growing up and learning to take ownership of their actions.

I intentionally sat behind his bench once. Carr called a time out and lit up a kid for the full 30 seconds. Kid went out and played hard and did what he was supposed to do. You know what you have with Carr. You know it during tryouts and nothing changes during the season or the past seasons he has coached.

Exactly.

He also doesn't leave it on bad terms. Seen many hand shakes & hugs handed out to the kid he was all over during a game

We have sat behind Scott's bench a number of times, in fact we almost always sit close enough to at least see him coach. I love the intensity that he coaches with and I am always curious how coaches manage their benches.

Brad got a bad deal, period. He may have been out of line and maybe this situation could have been handled better, an experienced AD would have been a great help.

I wish the best for him and do not believe for one second that we have seen the last of Brad Carr. A good guy and a great coach...probably look good in red.

The majority of these kids will benefit more from the discipline and accountability they are subject to by Coach Carr than any amount of playing time he could give them. Being able to deal with what life brings you will be more important to the 99% of kids who will never play at the next level. I would let Brad Carr coach my kid any day.

That was hilarious!!! First time I have seen that.

Had heard this was in the works. Parents not happy with playing time resulted in a recording of a practice session by a different player where said player was called out. Same kind of thing that happens at every HS in KY.

My kids could play for Brad any day.
