Indiana 73 Kentucky 67

Always an exception but probably the biggest developer of Josh was Kanter not being able to play.

Harrelson, Liggins, Miller, Patterson, Willie Caley Stein, Hawkins, and Willis would all disagree with you. Each one of those players got better under Cal. The majority of players one and done and players not one and done have got better under Cal. It's very easy to target the few that haven't reached potential and say he doesn't develop players.

The majority of time it is like a home game for UK. However with Kansas fans also being there and buying tickets for that session, Indiana being there and having a fan base excited to be in the tournament again were willing to spend whatever to be there, then even a small section of UConn fans. For once UK fans were not going to be able to throw a high number at people and buy tickets off of them.

Exactly my point. UK's fans might overwhelm the fans of the other teams for a Maui Classic, the SEC Tourney or in a pod where there aren't any other big time programs. That isn't going to happen when they play in a pod with the caliber of teams as was in Iowa. UK isn't the only big time program that travels well.

So a UK fan in my neighborhood was giving away/getting rid of these today, I took them.

In my opinion, UK fans thought Iowa was a little too far and they were saving up for a big weekend in Philadelphia.

Agreed but not that it was too far, hedged on waiting to go to Philly.

Interesting note re: the Commomwealth - first year since 2010 that either Louisville or Ky. not in the final four

That is impressive.

Only rotation players I expect back are Lee and Willis, maybe Briscoe. I don't see how Briscoe could go pro, but maybe that's best for UK for him to leave.

Please tell me that Marcus Lee comes back.... TO DO COMMUNITY SERVICE!!! We all know that's more important than x's and o's and free throws, right, guys?

Alex Poythress is one of, if not the #1, most disappointing player I can recall at UK. So much athletic ability and the desire to get it done but he just never could figure out what his game is.

But he graduated in just three years and is working on his Master's. That's really what's important...right, guys?

I'm happy I will never have to worry about AP not showing up for a big game again.

But he always shows up for class. That should matter more to UK fans. But sadly...

Very important, especially to him.

That's important for him yes, we are talking about this game so not really relevant.

Although I understand Dakari Johnson turning pro, if he stays at UK this was a championship team. Same as when Marquis Estill left early and cost us another title.

In the end, everyone hoped that Poy, Lee and Willis stepped up and we all learned that they were what we thought they were- role players not ready to dominate or hold their own.

Dakari certainly would have helped this UK team. I don't think it automatically makes them a championship team. Much more likely to go to the Final Four though.

Gotcha. Going forward when commenting on basketball players make sure you review their academic records first. Duly noted.
