I'm going to speak with a measure of allegiance to Holmes, Holy Cross, Highlands and NewCath ... But more importantly, as a ninth region fan ... I could not be happier for NCC for many reasons, but I really think if you can't appreciate and love the passion that Jimmy Pangallo and Ron Dawn have for the sport, and for their school, and be happy for them getting the shot at the gold ring, you should choose a different past time than high school basketball. The guys live and breathe the game, they're great friends, respected adversaries, gracious winners and respectful losers, to coaches and players at all the schools in NKY, and I can't think of anyone that I would say "deserves" this shot more than them.

Actually I find the thread ironic because I can't think of another team from NKY ever that had as nearly unanimous support as this one ... Makes for good traffic on the site though ....

Great post Pete. This is exactly the kind of response I was counting on.

I would hope that every 9th region school is currently a NewCath fan, I know I am pulling for them

As a CCH alum, of course, rooting for the Breds. Last I checked, their mascot isnt Bluebirds. Just kidding.

Always root for the local teams in any sport when at STATE. Only one exception, the year the Mitchell kid played for HHS.

I am the mother of a CCH grad and a current member of the CCH staff and yes, I am pulling for NCC. Go Breds!

And the yr before in '13 Holmes lost in OT to eventually state champ, Madison Central. That was a great game

Disappointed to read something like this considering how good of a kid it is that it's coming from.

Also saw a Retweet of a Local kid that I coached in Football about a Snap Chat from CVH making fun of NewCath's failure in the Semi's. It was a picture that CVH took of NCC's bench in the closing minutes of yesterday's game mocking them about Dreaming of Rings. Really? The last time I checked NCC was playing and he was watching. Keep it Classy son! Dissapointing to say the least. What was even more disappointing was the other CCH's followers reactions of piling on with pictures of their very own rings. Happy for the NCC family for representing NKY with Class!

There's something to be said about winning with class, and losing with more. It's easier as adults to pull this off - much harder as a 16-18 year old. I'm glad I couldn't tell the whole world what I was thinking in 2 seconds or less when I was that Age!!!

Back in the day, our only option was to say these types of things face-to-face, with the real possibility you would end up in headlocks on the ground with the recipient of your good tidings. You had a secondary (and immediate) consequence to consider if you were going to throw this trash out there. It's a different world, but I think smart kids will stray away from Twitter bashing. But, smart kids back in the day stayed off the ground as well!!!

I hate to say this but some of you need to check twitter. Not all the boys of CC are behaving. For all the world to see. Started last night, lots of screen shots since posts are starting to be deleted. Its very disappointing.

4Runner, Thunderbirds, Walter it got so much worse and much more vulgar!!! Proud that the New Cath boys are handling this with class!
