28-14 sounds much more realistic than 63-7. Dixie may not get by Highlands this week, but they will beat Beechwood and/or CovCath and use the experience to help them repeat as 4A District champs. This Dixie team returned a lot of experience from last year's District champion team.

Are both teams at full strength? To me, that will be the best gauge at how big HHS wins. ;) Some people talking about how speed killed HHS against Male in their scrimmage. I have been told that Dixie's one wideout is lighting fast and what about their running backs. I don't know a whole lot about them but was told that a certain senior running back is awefully tough. If everyone plays for both teams then I see it as a 5 td difference and if there are any qaulity players missing for whatever reason - long night for someone!

28-14 sounds like pretty optimistic thinking on someone's part. 28-0 will be the 1st qtr score. Highlands will have no less than 42 at the half.

 This guy is good ! I'll tell ya , he could be the next Jimmy the Greek !!!:D To be safe , I'll go with 0 to 0 start of the game !:thumb:

I would not necessarily say that speed is what beat Highlands on Friday. Yes it was a factor, but there were numerous missed tackles, especially in the first half. Tackling was much better in the second half and the score reflected that. If I am not mistaken does Dixie not have quite a few returning players both on O and D. Really do not understand the outlandish predictions for the final score of this game. Dixie will not play the same 11 in the box defense that Male played so Highlands may not be able to have all of the long plays for TD's that they had on Friday. Fully expect Highlands to win, but feel the margin will be more in the 3 touchdown range than the 50 or 60 points blowout. Does anyone know what time the game starts on Friday? I have heard that it was starting at 7:00.

The outrageous predictions, are just that.

As for the start time, I always assumed it was 7:30. If it's been changed, I hope someone will fill us in.

I'm pretty sure Dixie started their home games at 7 p.m. last year. Since this game was moved from Dixie, if the Colonels had a say in the start, I'd say it's probably at 7.

Good luck Birds and take care of business. 35-17 Birds. :thumb:

Thanks Lockcy. I hope you can make it to a few games this year and watch the Birds. I also hope your son has a great year. LN

We are planning on attending a few home games to support the program. We really enjoyed our time as Bluebirds.......once a Bluebird always a Bluebird.Regarding my son,he should have a breakout season and thanks for your kind words. Go Birds win STATE!:thumb:

Thats what I wanted. But why does a Birds fans give us the scoop on Dixie? You're right Spritz would love to beat the Birds. If Dixie figures out a way to get out of the gate this year, this game could be closer than last. On a side note I heard that Dixie did not run 2 adays this year. Can anyone confirm?

We have never done a traditional two adays practice in the last 10 years.

Although Dixie may have more size, Highlands always comes with great speed, which the colonels may have trouble handling. Mueller will get those numbers up as high as he can,so we should see plenty of scores. Highlands 53-14

I know that HHS players are larger than life to most Ft. Thomas residents but to me, they always have small strong quick guys on the line. Big lineman at HHS is more of an exception. Especially on D. Which BTW, is a good thing most years at HHS, not a bad thing.

You don't hear it from Highlands people.:irked:

Really? Oh well I guess you got me technically. Cause what HHS people do is talk about a percieved deficiency in an opponent due to the unspoken superiority of their own squad. 67-10 was posted by who a ludlow supporter?

You say it is if there's something wrong with that.

BTW, I'm thinking 28-14, 35-14...something like that. I think it will be a really good first half.
