Dixie Heights at Highlands

Featured Replies

I think it's very possible that Dixie only scores 7 but I don't see 63 against a decent Dixie defense. I'll let the Dixie fans laugh at the prediction, not me.

:thumb: Well why not go for 103 to 7 ! We have no speed, where small with no size at all , we can't tackle or block . And don't forget where a disgraceful 4A school ! Weak , weak, weak !!! Stop practicing boys ,its over ! You can't win ,no way . BIRDS WIN BIG !:scared:

HHS 34

DIXIE 13

I generally don't predict scores of Dixie games, and I'll continue in my ways. However, I do think the game will be much closer than many here think. Dixie notoriously starts out slow, which shouldn't be the case this year, but it still wouldn't surprise me. They've got plenty returning on both sides of the ball which makes me think they shouldn't. Highlands probably does have the edge in team speed, which they've probably got the edge over every team in NKY. Dixie's lines should be bigger than Highlands', but it all comes down to execution. I do believe Dixie will put up more than a few points, and not on the JV team. It really wouldn't surprise me if this game ended in the 20's for both teams.

Do we ever tire of hearing about HHS? They are outstanding in every area, just ask them. Just remember, even Goliath took a fall......... I know Dixie guys have worked hard and would like a little more respect...you know, Ryle and the three leading newspapers picked Ryle to win the District last year.......Sometimes its good to be seen as the underdog! :ylsuper: Go Dixie!

First of all 52, several of the blow out predictions come from non-Highlands fans. Second of all, at least two Highlands fans have predicted a close game. Thus, you may have been just a little bit off on your statement. I'm sure the Dixie players worked hard during the off season. Sandman32, a Dixie fan that I respect and trust, has told me that the Dixie players worked harder this off season than ever before. But you'll have to forgive some folks for not buying into that based on past performances and I believe him. But Dixie historically has not worked hard during the off season, has started the season out of shape and used the early part of the season to get into shape. Talking about how you've beat Ryle last year also is not going to necessarily garner a lot of respect from a lot of Highlands fans either (sorry Ryle fans). I can understand why you get tired of posts about Highlands. There are a lot of Highlands fans on here as well as other programs' fans, that while they don't necessarily like Highlands, do respect our accomplishments and our program. Furthermore Dixie has not had much success against Highlands in the past. Given that this year's Highlands team is projected to be a lot better than last years and you should understand some of the posts. Personally, I think the game will be closer than some have predicted and if Dixie is as good as they are projected to be and Highlands looks past Dixie, an upset may be in the making. In any event, we'll find out how good the respective teams are in just 4 days. Until then, I'd not let what some people think get under your collar too much.

She was brain-washed by a certain devious Park Hillian back on July 15. :creepy:

But I really do think this game will be realtively close. I think it will start out sloppy for both teams.
