January 21, 201610 yr Had to go to Krogers today. Making a big pot of spicy chili. I must admit that I bought milk and toilet paper too! No bread but I did get bagels! It was packed! I have tickets to the UK game Saturday. I love getting snowed in, but love the CATS too.

January 21, 201610 yr UK has cancelled classes for Friday. My high schooler's school will be dismissing at 1PM Friday.

January 22, 201610 yr I had planned to go to the grocery Monday night on the way home from work, but I had to swing by the UPS store and pick up a package so I didn't make it. Planned then to go Tuesday, but I had to go back up and spend the night at work. Went tonight because I was down to one roll of TP. I decided since I had to park practically back at home at Kroger, and the checkout lines were so long, I'd grab some other stuff while I was there. I had to buy organic milk, because every single other kind of milk was gone. Had to buy a 24 pack of TP, because all the smaller packs were gone. On the bright side, I scored big on some beautifully meaty beef shanks that are going to yield some delicious soups and stews, and a nice ribeye, and I now have plenty of stuff to make scones and homemade dog treats. . I went in for a 4 pack of TP, $88 later, I'm set on TP till April and I'll be eating pretty well for a while. :lol2: Should have stopped at Dollar General in French Lick.

January 22, 201610 yr Mandatory OT for tomorrow night has been called off... :dancingpa Which is uncharacteristic of the organization I work for since they usually will trip over a dime to get a nickel! I have to pick up some sidewalk salt, tp, and BEER....then get to sit back relax and watch the flakes fly tomorrow afternoon/evening. Boone, Kenton, and Campbell County schools have already called off. I'm going to chuckle if this system misses us! :smug: Be safe and have fun folks...might have to hit Devou Park up for some sled riding Saturday!

I am 14 days into my 28 days with no sugar, no alcohol, nothing but water to drink and under 2,000 calories a day. I knew this storm was coming..... and went to the liquor store before work to grab some bourbon. I'm off Friday, Sat and Sunday so I said screw it I will pick it back up again on Monday.
January 22, 201610 yr Chris Bailey now saying almost 22" for my town. Nice. I love snow but that much just causes all sorts of problems especially with it being a wet snow. I will take whatever we get up north and be ok with that.
