January 22, 201610 yr Chris Bailey now saying almost 22" for my town. Nice. I've stocked up with everything I need for several days, so no worry there. But....walking my little Bichon Frise is a major headache with deep snow. The foot of snow we had last February was tough enough. I was able to shovel out a few areas for him to do his business. But 22 inches!!! Whew!!! He and I are going to have some major issues today and through the weekend. And he wants to go out 5 or 6 times a day.
January 22, 201610 yr Author As of this morning I'm feel pretty good about my latest accumulation totals. I'll check back throughout the day. Going to go back to bed for a little rest got up around 1:30 to check on latest updates. Everyone should be all ready preparing for a major winter storm to hit Kentucky. First my main concern is the possible icing across a section of southern Kentucky on Friday morning centered on the Cumberland Pkwy. A swath of .01-.25" of ice accumulations is possible. This could cause some power outages in that area. The cities in this are include Madisonville, Central City, Bowling Green, Glasgow, Campbellsville, Columbia, Somerset, London, Corbin, Manchester. This area look to has 2-4" on the ground by Friday afternoon. Don't worry NKY your snow is on the way. I'm still thinking 3-5 by Saturday evening. There looks to be a path threw central and eastern Kentucky that look to get 12-16" cities included in this area include. Frankfort, Lexington, Danville, Nicholsaville, Richmond, Berea, Winchester, Mt. Sterling, Paris, Maysville, Ashland, Jackson, Pikeville, Paintsville, Prestonsburg. Some in EKY could get upwards to around 18". Louisville, Radcliff, Elizabethtown 6-8" WKY is looking at 4-6" This includes Owensboro, Hopkinsville, Henderson, Madisonville.
