Shot a career-best 87 at Sugar Bay yesterday and came within 8 inches on my first hole-in-one. Had I holed that one, I would have retired immediately following the rounds.

Have not played there for a few years. What is its condition?

I thought it was in pretty good shape. Greens were on the slower end of average speed, but nothing like the course/cow pasture I played the previous weekend. Can't give much info on the fairways, as I struggled to find them all day.

I suck at this game. I'm currently going through back issues due to a bulging disc. Have to play in a work outing this week. My buyer has played twice in his life. Other 2 guys equally as bad as him. I told them I'd only putt due to the back. I decided to give a swing at a drive. Didn't hurt any worse than it has been. So I proceed to play the scramble. We finished about 8 over. We used about 95% of my shots, including putts. I landed 3-4 greens on the par 3's and the 4th I was over by 5'. Double fore someone on each hole. I won closet to the pin and got a great Calloway/mich ultra golf bag. Had literally walked into the Nike store they had set up the night before looking for a new bag and couldn't justify the cash for a new bag even though our price was half off.

Pretty happy about the bag and it had to be my best round of golf in 5 years. Go figure.

MRI tomorrow when I get home to see next steps.

Hoping all turns out well TAC. Always remember, back issues are better than front issues they say.

Played Griffin Gate today for the first time in years. Shot an 82 from the 6000 yard tees. My buddies, who are much better than me and former college golfers for WKU and Morehead State, played the tips and one was 71 and the other 73 on the Par 72 course.

The course was in great condition considering the heat and humidity we've had this summer.

Going to Cumberland for the annual golf trip at the end of the month.

Thanks, X-ray showed spondylitic spurring at C6-C7. MRI was this morning, waiting for results. Didn't respond to oral Steriods. Did a physical therapist today (again) and he advised me of the options I have left.

Tell those buddies hello for me!

What course or courses?

Burnside is one. I forget the other one.

Just got back form Ireland and snuck off the tour for 1/2 day and played the Killarney Golf and Fish Club. I played the Killeen Course, home of 4 Irish Opens. I played the forward tees and shot a 98 with rental clubs, tennis shoes, and lack of talent. The forward tees were 5608 meters 6133 yards on a wet course with little roll. Way too long for me. I could only reach two par 4's in regulation. Hit all I had and couldn't get there on the others.

Greens were unbelievably fast, shocking with how much rain we had. Had to hit it about 1/3 of the pace as most greens here. We played in relatively great weather for Ireland, no wind or rain at the time and low 60's.

I had a BLAST. First four holes along Lake Killarney and were just gorgeous. Actually my 98 wasn't that bad. This WAS a championship course. No carts were allowed and we walked with pull carts. It was a level course. We did not use fore caddies.

Total cost with green fees and rentals, balls, souvenirs 135 Euros.

I have a condo on #6 at Woodson Bend and will be there that weekend. If you play it I can throw you a brewskie. If you play it

Played at Flemingsburg on Tuesday. 82 from the forward tees.

Yes, that's the other. We are staying in a condo there. Not the ones on the course. Just ice up a cooler and leave it on the deck for us. :lol2:

While you're at it, have BM grill up some nice steaks to your satisfaction. He's good for it.
