Anyone ever play Central City Country Club? In Muhlenberg County I believe.

I made a hole in one at the Par 2 clown's nose on the Pkwy at Pigeon Forge. Won a free game. Double bogey on the windmill, though.

I'm short and accurate off the tee. Played Lassing Pointe yesterday from the forward tees along with some senior buddies.

Had 2 doubles and a triple and shot 83. Made a 50-foot snake for birdie on 9 and a 60-foot snake for birdie on 17. I'd go back in a heartbeat.

Stopped for a burger at Culver's and ran into some guy named guru.

I have, but it's been at least 25 years ago. I don't remember much about it.

Shot a career-best 87 at Sugar Bay yesterday and came within 8 inches on my first hole-in-one. Had I holed that one, I would have retired immediately following the rounds.

Did a 3-day trip to BrightLeaf this past week. First time I've ever been there. Good experience. Great set up for such a 2-3 day deal.

Course was in decent shape, but not to their standards from what I was told. Rough year on courses all around the region. Drank a lot of beer, hit many booming drives, but didnt make a putt over 5 foot (ouch).

Ummm, can't agree with you here. This summer has been almost ideal weather for golf courses in this region. If a golf course couldn't be in good shape this year, then it's probably never going to be in good shape.

And, don't get me wrong, I enjoy playing at Bright Leaf when the summer crowds are gone, but condition has never been a prime concern for them. Getting that northern crowd and turning over those stay and play condos is where it's at for them.

Shot a +1 36 Friday night at Wild Turkey for my walking 9 score, 2 birdies, 3 bogies. Lowest score ever! Had a 20 footer two putt for par on #9, ball was just on the fringe. I putted the ball and it was 25-30% slower than the rest of the greens, left about a 7 footer for par. Buddy pulled the flag, looked down in the hole, said "there must be 3 inches of water in the cup". They had watered the greens evidently the whole time we were playing the first 8 holes. need that par to shoot even for the round. I was a little miffed but hey, still bested my previous low by 2 shots.

I played at glen oaks Friday. I was awful. Jerked one left so far I hit the roof of a house. Thankfully we only played 9. I might have tore up some stuff.

Hitting a house is always awkward. At the beginning of the golf season, I pushed a 5-iron onto a roof of a multi family condo unit. The lady on the top floor walked out and gave stood out there for a couple seconds while I hid in the cart.

Its been officially a month since I've picked up a club...

Hoping to play Sunday.

Yeah, well I hope you play as poorly as me, just once in your life.:lol2:

Been fighting pretty bad tendonitis in my right elbow, eased back a lot on my playing the past few days.

I've figured it out. You've been playing right handed all this time. I think you're a lefty.

If it keeps hurting like it has been, I might be forced to go lefty. Though it has been feeling better the last couple of days, haven't played since Saturday. That might not sound like a long time, but I have pretty much been playing every night when at home, walking 9 holes or more. So no golf foe me for 5 days (including tonight) is quite a bit. Plus I was in Orlando most of last week for work and didn't play from Sunday through last Thursday either. Then came home and shot that 36 on Friday evening. Funny how that works sometime.
