If you're a fan of the history of sports, especially baseball, I can't recommend "Eight Men Out" enough. The tale of how baseball went from a game that, from its earliest days, was pervaded top to bottom by gambling interests into one in which gambling became the cardinal sin is fascinating.
August 24, 201610 yr The Crossing by Michael Connelly is really good. Bosch series I'll be reading "Dragons" in the next few days. The Bosch series is excellent.
August 24, 201610 yr Hillary The Other Woman by Dolly Kyle Great read. Dolly is the childhood friend, who later became a lover, of Bill Clinton , met on the golf course when they were 11 and 12, who were loving friends until now. My SECOND read of this book, there are so many twists and deals. A real page turner. Some of you are going to love it, even Papaw read it and about 5 Historical Society people want it as soon as I'm finished. Lack to never found it, for some reason printing was delayed and distribution?????? If you are lucky enough to find a copy, read it. And share it with someone. :thumb:
