August 2, 201610 yr You are correct. If the movie is as dark as the book, it is dark indeed. Same guy wrote No Country For Old Men. As in your case, I've seen that movie but not read the book.
August 4, 201610 yr Highly recommended if you like stories about high school sports. This is about a team from Braddock, Pennsylvania, just outside of Pittsburgh, that won over 50 consecutive games during the late-1950s.
August 6, 201610 yr Picked up something like 36 of those Time Life reading series paperbacks at a yard sale today for a quarter apiece. Lots of classics.
