I haven't seen anything that truly shows Pitino flipping off the fans. You can't tell what he threw up in the video.

It certainly is a bit fuzzy, but one thing's for sure; he DID throw his kids and assistant up to the media while sulking in the hallway like a grade schooler--Weak!!

We can win the title. With the right draw and getting Mathiang back healthy late, this is a good year for that kind of run. We could also lose 1st round, so there's that.

I was hoping there was another angle from someone so it could be determined definitively if he did or didn't.

Agree, but I think that could be said of quite a few teams, KY included. Definitely don't agree with a previous poster that these two are NIT teams??

Is the postgame press conference mandatory for head coaches?

The brick background messes everything up. If he threw up a middle finger it disappears in the bricks. Just looks like he made a fist. He says he was saying "we're number one" so he definitely threw up a finger. I can't believe there isn't another angle of it yet.

NIT teams really? Unless something just unforeseen happens, I would imagine these 2 teams will be seeded somewhere between 2 and 6.

Last two possessions were brutal and Murray was about as bad as you can be. Hawkins shot the ball better than I thought he could. Alex was killing them in the first half and did not see the ball in the second half. Also, free throw shooting was terrible as all of Cals teams are.

Free throw shooting being bad with Cals teams is simply not true. In fact the Brandon Knight team shot free throws well, the National title team shot free throws well and last years team shot free throws well. I know it is a lot easier to remember the bad free throw shooting teams though because they should be easy points.

I really don't care if Pitino flipped off some of the UK crowd or not. I really can't say that I blame him to be honest. I'm certainly not a fan of some of the things Pitino has done, but he'll always be one of the greatest coaches in UK history and I'll always remain grateful for him resurrecting the basketball program.

I wish more Kentucky fans felt this way. There's a reason his name hangs in the rafters. That man helped save the whole freaking program.

About the bolded, I think there is time to improve in that area, but only if he WANTS to. If he goes NBA after this year, he'll get eaten alive or be sent to D-League never to be heard from again. JMO.

Maybe. People have to realize that people can still get better without having to be in college. Even if he does go pro and is in the d league right away, he can still improve and get more physical. That would be his job and only thing to worry about, no classes or stuff like that. He probably would get a log stronger physically next year being in the d league than he would coming back to college.

I feel like Louisville would win 6/10 if these two teams played that many times right now. Kentucky was definitely saved by the three point shooting today, and the fact that Ulis was the best player on the floor. But for the most part, outside of the first few minutes of each half and end of the first half, Louisville was demonstrably better. Still, I'll take the W....

I've read this a lot but UK won this game with one of their best players out and their best player having his worst game.

Not to mention Pitino isn't beating Cal 6 out of 10 times.

His hand area looks like a creature from Minecraft.

Great game to watch in person. Started strange with the ref not being able to throw the ball up right in the tip-off.
