Track the Reds....... Not hard to do, they have left a poopie trail for over a month now!:irked:

 And the stench is getting unbearable!!

Get used to seeing Norris Hopper and Chris Denorfia in the outfield for the season's final 10 days. An examination today revealed a hairline fracture in Ryan Freel's left thumb and he will miss the rest of the season. Freel hurt himself on an ill-advised dive for a ball that became a triple by Luke Scott Tuesday night.

Also, Eric Milton will have arthroscopic surgery tomorrow morning to clean out his left elbow.

...Wow, that is tough for both. Freel gives 100% effort, on each play. Hopefully Milton can recover from surgery and get ready for '07.

That's a tough loss(Freel). He really gave 110% every game.

Did I hear this right? I either heard or read that of something like 108 games that the Reds have played in the last four Septembers/Octobers, Junior has played in 8 of them. Is that even close to being accurate?

Yeah, it was on Lance's show. Since 2002 he has only played in 8 out of 103 games in the last month of the season.

Reds beat the Cubs 4-2 in a rain shortened game. Brandon Phillips made his 1st start at shortstop for the Reds. It looks like he'll probably play there for the rest of the year. Norris Hopper also hit his 1st ML homer. He's been pretty impressive in his limited playing time.

Just so everyone knows, the Reds are still mathematically in the race for the NL Central. I know they are 4.5 games out with just 7 left to play, but it's nice to still be in the playoff race, albeit a very slim to none chance, in the last week of the season. For those of you who still care, the Reds play the Cubs in a Business Day special today at GABP.

Where will Harang finish in the CY voting? If Carpenter is considered a leading candidate, it would seem Harang would get some votes as well.

15-7 vs 15-11

214 IP vs 225 IP

178 K vs 207 K

1.04 WHIP vs 1.29 WHIP

2.93 vs 3.83 ERA

8 E's in the last 10 innings...

It will certainly be interesting, to see what happens in the NL Cy Young.

This is the last home game of the year correct?

With 2 on and 2 out in the 7th, Narron hits Clayton for Hatte. That is inspite of Hatte reaching base in 7 of his last 8 trips to the plate...

And it pays off. Clayton walks and Rich drives in 2 with a single. 4-2 Drubs...
