September 19, 200620 yr I almost did...I just think they're waiting a few more days to turn it on... Oh yeah... here they come....Im just hoping they can end up with a winning season. I think that would be more than most of us expected.
September 19, 200620 yr He had 2 solid starters. Do you think he would have had the Marlins in their current position? No idea but 2 solid starters, does not a rotation make.....:thumb: The Reds offensive unit, has certainly been slumping but has carried almost the entire season and with some amazing numbers. Harang and Arroyo have been very consistent for most of the season, with stretches where they don't pitch well, as will most solid starters. Watching the Reds struggles, is tough and a few moves, here, there....Narron can have them contending. He did this year, despite of all the moves, injuries and lack of starting pitching, in a division that was mediocre.....I say, give him a chance.
September 19, 200620 yr BTW, for those that want to compare Bailey to Papelbon...I rest my case.......:thumb:
September 19, 200620 yr Who is more talented? Marlins or Reds? The Marlins. It isn't close. They are very young but very talented. Hermida, Willingham, Ramirez, and Uggla are all rookies and all are considered "future stars" to great extent.
September 19, 200620 yr Andy Pettitte will not start tonight's game for the Astros. Pettitte's father has been hospitalized and the pitcher is tending to him. Right-hander Matt Albers (0-1, 4.35) gets the ball instead for Houston, prompting a lineup change for the Reds. Rich Aurilia originally was at first base and Royce Clayton at shortstop, but Aurilia will now play short with Scott Hatteberg at first. September 20, 200620 yr Good guys win 5-4 and stay in 2nd in the NLC... They tried to blow it but come threw at the end.
September 20, 200620 yr Hal McCoy stated during the game tonight, he thinks Griffey has shut it down for the rest of the season. Over the last 4 seasons the Reds have played something like 106 games, in September and October. Griffey has played in 8 of them. Wow. The Reds can not go into next season with Dunn and Griffey in the same outfield. Someone has got to go.

September 20, 200620 yr We all know that's Narron's fault hssb... Maybe they could have used their 2 and 6 hitter that got traded away for bullpen help that hasn't helped. Just a hunch though.
