December 4, 201510 yr We have a winner for Gun Cliche of the Day. Probably the No. 1 gun cliche of all time. For starters, we need to resurrect the assault weapons ban that lapsed in 2004. I also see that Ryan and McConnell are saying no to restricting gun sales to people on current do-not-fly lists. And as usual we have the Leftist bordering on Socialist comment of the day. Thanks for not letting me down. You completely ignored the rest of the post as usual.
December 4, 201510 yr Reinstituting the assault weapons ban would be a solid first step to start addressing the insidious firearms problem in this country. No civilians have any legitimate need to own one. Isn't that what Congress wisely thought in 1994? Why yes.
December 4, 201510 yr So we will take them away from all the police as well then right? Your paranoia isn't an act, is it?

No civilians have any legitimate need to own one. Isn't that what Congress wisely thought in 1994? Why yes. I'm sure those terrorists who were intent on killing people would have thought... "oh wait...there's an assault weapons ban...we can't do that. Shoot, our plan has been foiled." Pipe bombs are illegal, right? Didn't stop them. I read that the magazine's they had with them were illegal in California. Didn't stop them.
December 5, 201510 yr The Chinese had semi-auto cross-bow. Lewis and Clark had a semi automatic rifle powered by pressured air in a glass bottle. Lots of things to do harm. Had and why does gun control come up after an Islamic terror act?
December 5, 201510 yr Your paranoia isn't an act' date=' is it?[/quote'] Not my fault you got called out trying to use the civilian term lol.
December 5, 201510 yr Look out for what? People don't like to hear tins, but the Ozzie and Harriet days are gone for good. Look at Israel to see what the US will be like very soon. Not 100% like there, but pretty close.

December 5, 201510 yr Your paranoia isn't an act, is it? Nor is yours. Legitimate question, why do you call guys that carry guns when you need protection?
December 5, 201510 yr Maybe this explains why this discussion is so frustrating in Kentucky. Kentucky leads nation in firearms background checks but not all equal sales Obviously all states are not equal. Maybe of all states had stats like Kentucky, we wouldn't be having these debates.
December 5, 201510 yr Your paranoia isn't an act' date=' is it?[/quote'] Are we going to ban the "assault like clothing" they wore next? No civilian needs more than 4 pockets right?
December 5, 201510 yr Are we going to ban the "assault like clothing" they wore next? No civilian needs more than 4 pockets right? I was also going to comment on the fact that Syed and Tashfeen had 4,500 rounds of ammo in their home and 1,500 rounds in their vehicle. In retrospect, I'm real glad I didn't comment on this because I realized the NRA wild bunch would scream like banshees that this amount of ammo was absolutely necessary for home protection, probably legally purchased and guaranteed under the 2nd Amendment. Kentucky leads nation in firearms background checks but not all equal sales Obviously all states are not equal. Maybe of all states had stats like Kentucky, we wouldn't be having these debates. If I read the report correctly, it could mean that half the stated population is licensed to carry. Obviously that is not correct. That includes many checks. It does show that there are hundreds of thousands in the state carrying concealed, however.

Maybe not necessary for home protection but have you ever watched The Walking Dead? You can never have too much ammo.
December 5, 201510 yr Just a different way of looking at it...here is the first tweet by each after the shootings...Seems like they are all using the same playbook. Hillary Clinton @HillaryClinton Dec 2 Hillary Clinton Retweeted The New York Times I refuse to accept this as normal. We must take action to stop gun violence now. -H Bernie Sanders @BernieSanders Dec 2 Mass shootings are becoming an almost-everyday occurrence in this country. This sickening and senseless gun violence must stop. Martin O'Malley @MartinOMalley Dec 2 Horrifying news out of #SanBernardino. Enough is enough: it's time to stand up to the @NRA and enact meaningful gun safety laws While some mock Paul, Cruz, Graham and Ryan for showing compassion towards victims first.
