So I will say it again. You are basically fine with it if any top player on the team calls out his coaches to the media after a lost? I bet more times than not a top player after a loss feels like they were not involved enough. Shoot all these top programs with multiple losses this year probably has players who feel like that. So you think its fine if that because a trend then?

It's simple its the first loss they had this year and he is calling out a coach who had a far better resume and over a longer period of time than he does as a player. Going out to the media was was just wrong, period.

I'm fine with it because they didn't give a chance. I'll use another top running back as an example. Fournette got ran into the ground against Bama. They gave him every shot in the world to win them that game. This is such a unique scenario. I can't think of any situation in which a team hasn't utilized their best player. I've never seen it happen before. That's why I think this special scenario calls for drastic measures.

Disagree! Especially when your calling out a coach with a track record and a two national titles while your were still playing youth football. A coach who you just won a title with too. There was no need for drastic measures. You don't think the coaches would have figured out on their own by watching film that their game plan sucked.

Very wrong on his part for how he handled it plain and simple. I would be willing to bet next week he would have gotten a lot more touches even without him going to the media.

He obviously wants touches next week, but right after the game all he was worried about was not getting the ball this week. Also he wasn't calling out Urban. He's calling out the OC's. Urban doesn't call the plays, the OC's do. Obviously Urban has override power, but he lets his OC's work undeterred most of the time. Urban himself after the game said he should have changed some of the plays, but left his OC continue to call the plays because he puts 100% trust into his OC's everywhere he goes. Urban's system is like handing the keys over to a Ferrari, well they totaled the Ferrari last night.

Can you please show me where Urban said that? Because I can show you where Urban said he called a lot of the plays. Also Zeke did call out urban. He said he went to urban begging them to call certain plays and urban didn't listen to him.

He point blank called out the oc and the head coach. He was wrong it's that simple. I have no problem with him being mad I would be too. However you don't air it out to the media. I guarantee you the coaches would have realized their game plan sucks and he would have gotten those carries next week without him having to go to the media. Him going to the media was pointless and stupid.

I don't agree about Zeke going to the media but I love the analogy! The Ferrari is at the bottom of a lake right now...

If Zeke is ready to coach the coaches, he'll fit right in with the NFL GM's. Theu love to fire their coaches left and right over players opinions.

MSU beat UMich and OSU without ever leading before zero seconds on the clock.

If Zeke is ready to coach the coaches' date=' he'll fit right in with the NFL GM's. Theu love to fire their coaches left and right over players opinions.[/quote']

Zeke just told the truth and sometimes the truth hurts. He sacrificed his body for the last 3 years, he practically hung the 2014 title and he wanted to go back to the playoff even though he's a millionaire in 5 months.

I think he'll be just fine financially. That said, if I were in his position I would have kept my mouth shut and leave it up to the best coach in college to do his job, on his own.

When players think they know more than the coaches you have a problem. When the players present to the media that they know more than the coaches, you potentially have an even bigger problem.

I would just kick Jones and Elliott off the team. If they have a problem with the team, then let them watch on TV.

It was by far the best offense Saban had since at Bama both statistically and just the eye test. They had a mobile QB last year and there offense was rolling over everyone. It was definitely his best team at Bama. There defense was typical of every Bama defense. Look up what all of the analysts were saying about them before the OSU game last year. Look at their stats last year. It was hands down the best Bama team Saban has had. Period.

Not even close. Period.

While what he said was correct, it's not his place to say it. Another way out of character moment for another kid that has been a model citizen, kinda like the JT situation. Tells me this team has, as has appeared all year, read way too many press clippings. Eerily similar to last years FSU team, except FSU played nobody until the playoffs. OSUs playoff came last night.

Urban said today he now regrets not taking over play-calling in the game.

Not good for the OC.

Elliott statement:

Ezekiel Elliott apologizes for critical postgame comments

If he is going to say "my intentions were not to point fingers at anyone..." I would have counseled him to not issue a statement. He obviously pointed fingers DIRECTLY at the staff.

Just let it die without saying anything. Win against UM and it's all forgotten.
