Full meltdown in Columbus right now, and Zeke's comments were brutal...and 100% correct. Not sure what 12 Gauge has planned for next year, but he is perfectly clear he is done after this year.

Well I said at the beginning of the year OSU wouldn't win the championship this year if Barrett was the starter. However I thought the loss would come in the playoffs. So now. Barrett has two losses and Jones is undefeated with wins in three huge games including national title game.

 

Sorry I had to since me and JA argued about that earlier this year lol. In fairness though you all are right the offensive coordinator hasn't been good at all and why neither qb has looked great this year. Both qbs are great imo but a bad oc.

Disagree with Grantky about not having a problem with Zeke calling out the coaches. Really bad when a player calls out the coaches to the media. Keep that stuff inside the locker room. And BTW, Zeke was totally right that the play calling was awful...but he should keep his comments in the locker room.

Ed Warinner was labeled the hero last year after fixing the line (post VTech) and beating Bama. He was interviewing for HC jobs but Meyer offered him the offensive coordinator job, didn't wanna lose 2 guys in one year (Herman and Warinner). OSU returned 4 lineman yet our offense has stunk all year. He also added Tim Beck who did exactly what at Nebraska?

Keeping comments in the locker room doesn't accomplish anything. Get everything out in the open so stuff gets done. If it came from Cardale or JT that's one thing, but it coming from Zeke is different. He has been nothing but 100% professional since he got to Columbus. Have no problem with a player speaking his mind. I mean for the love of everything he literally had to just stand in the backfield and watch the game slip out of hand and there was nothing he could do about it. 2 carries in the second half? Something had to be said. I fully expect Urban to stand behind Zeke 100%.

I think he would but he's a Texas boy. It all depends on where he goes next, his next job would match OSU dollar for dollar.

How many major college head coaches call the plays for their teams? Obviously they would have to be "offensive" minded head coaches. For example, Saban is more of defensive guy so he will always have another guy calling plays. I am surprised Urban doesn't want to call the plays anyway. I wonder if he ever did at Florida...

I mean he didn't exactly throw the ball tonight either, they just ran QB draw after QB draw. They weren't even calling read options tonight, which were where JT has broken off most of his big runs this year. I just don't get it.
