December 1, 201510 yr No idea. Just going by precedent. Well how about this, lets say the Big 12 had named TCU or Baylor sole champion of the big 12 last year? Do they get in if Ohio State beats Wisconsin in the same fashion? I believe the committee when they say conference champs matter, but I think they matter if two teams are so similar but one is a conf. champ and the other is. If it accounts for anything the old BCS system has Ohio State ranked 4th. Bama, Clemson, Oklahoma, Ohio State. But I'm sure that Ohio State would get replaced with whoever wins the B1G championship.
