November 22, 201510 yr "Some" of you OSU guys are a trip, enjoy reading your posts. Don't look up, I think the sky is falling!
November 22, 201510 yr It was by far the best offense Saban had since at Bama both statistically and just the eye test. They had a mobile QB last year and there offense was rolling over everyone. It was definitely his best team at Bama. There defense was typical of every Bama defense. Look up what all of the analysts were saying about them before the OSU game last year. Look at their stats last year. It was hands down the best Bama team Saban has had. Period. Not even close, period. You talk about the eye test and the eye test even showed it was not. Just a very inflated view of a victory by an OSU fan. You can ask most so called experts and I doubt people as I said even put that team in its top 5 of Sabans teams.
November 22, 201510 yr I, as usual am in complete agreement JA. Every OSU hater just waiting certainly has their reason to howl. Hell, they do it when there's no reason :lol2:. As for the game and comments by Zeik and Jones afterwards ... Yes, it was a complete embarrassment and MSU certainly deserved the win. Whats even more frustrating to me is with as bad as the offensive game plan / play calling was, Sparty can still only get a three point win, OSU should have been blown off the field. That's how good the Bucks talent is ..to play the worst game / offensive game plan of the season and still lose by only a fg. Bottom line to me anyway was that the Bucks got absolutely whipped on both the O and D lines. MSU owned the l.o.s. and that's an L against anyone. Now for the players. I was even further disappointed in the post game comments "to the press" by Jones and Elliot. I can certainly see why they were so frustrated but to me anyway, a player throwing his coach/coaching staff under the bus is uncalled for. Elliot should have been frustrated / P'd off amoung a lot of other adjectives but you keep that between you and the coach if you want to complain, not the public. jmo I am like you JA in that I don't know if they can rebound to beat Michigan or not. I would like to think so bc it's the team up Norh plus there is still an outside shot to win the Big10 Championship .... a lot of things have to happen but should Penn St. beat Sparty next week, The Bucks / Mich. winner would win their division and play Iowa for the Championship. Will all that happen and the Bucks pull it off ? I doubt it but it is possible. There is still an opportunity to get the Big10 title and one of the top bowl bids. I just don't know if they can recover, especially if there is division in the locker room. At any rate and regardless of what happens I am still and always will be an OSU Football fan. :thumb: They played a backup and third string qb and lost. I would hope that a backup qb and third string qb wouldn't blow them out.
November 22, 201510 yr I hope that you're right and there isn't any of that. Sometimes that kind of thing can steam roll into problems everwhere, that's what I meant. It' Michigan Week !! GO BUCKS ! Or it could cause them all to come together.
November 22, 201510 yr They beat the best Bama team Saban has had since he got there and the best offense in college football. Don't bash that team. You realize that was as absurd as the comment NKUisgr8 made, right?
November 22, 201510 yr Did you watch the game? The best player in the whole country touched the ball twice in the second half! I don't care who you are, what kind of character you have, when you are that good and have that much respect in the locker room, you can say what he said. It was an absolute joke. It wasn't just typical bad play calling that were used to where they just put players in a position to fail. They didn't even give him the opportunity! He's the best player on the team and IMO the best player in college football and you lost your chance to win back to back titles because you didn't give him the ball. What he said wasn't disrespectful, it shows that this kid truly puts his whole life out there for his team and his coaches prohibited him from doing that. They would have won the game if they would have just given him the ball. I bet you many players feel like they are the best in the country or best on the team. So when a player doesn't get the ball you feel like that best player on any team should go out and complain about their coaches? That's what you are saying. This whole entitlement thing is part of the problem in our country now and you apparently want to see more of it? I could maybe see it if this was a bad team and coaches have cost them a few. However he blasted coaches who he just won a title with and was undefeated with going into the game. You talk about him being the best player and deserves to say what he wants. Well I think Urban Meyers whole career record and titles at multiple schools speaks even more. In the locker room is where he can say those things and let coaches know you aren't happy. Not the media.
November 22, 201510 yr They played a backup and third string qb and lost. I would hope that a backup qb and third string qb wouldn't blow them out. But OSU using a 3rd string QB to beat one of Saban's top recruiting classes that he always has wasn't impressive lol. You all feeling sorry for all of the 5 star all Americans Saban has is comical.

You can ask most so called experts and I doubt people as I said even put that team in its top 5 of Sabans teams. Agree to disagree.

Not the media. If they would have won the game Zeke wouldn't have said anything. But he had to stand by and watch his team lose when he knows that if he was getting the ball, they would have won. That is not some entitlement problem. Dude wants to win and was upset at the fact that he wasn't given the opportunity to lead his team to victory. He wants to win. That is not entitlement, that's competitiveness.
November 22, 201510 yr They played a backup and third string qb and lost. I would hope that a backup qb and third string qb wouldn't blow them out. The way Mich. St. played last night was typical of their whole season. Honestly the running threat of a QB probably gave them more an advantage. Cook hasn't looked good all year. That was a typical Michigan state game whether back up QB was in there or not. Also shouldn't you know better than to talk to Ohio State fans about back up QB's?

So if Zeke got the ball more OSU would've won? Is that fact? I know he's a great player and I've seen what he's capable of, but to act like its a guarantee they win if he gets more than 12 carries is absurd. Maybe they would have, maybe they wouldn't have. Nobody knows.
November 22, 201510 yr So if Zeke got the ball more OSU would've won? Is that fact? I know he's a great player and I've seen what he's capable of, but to act like its a guarantee they win if he gets more than 12 carries is absurd. Maybe they would have, maybe they wouldn't have. Nobody knows. Of course not. But, you cannot lose without your very best having every chance to help. Wasn't just Zeke. Michael Thomas is the top rated WR in the country by most NFL scouting gurus. Think he was targeted three times.
November 22, 201510 yr But OSU using a 3rd string QB to beat one of Saban's top recruiting classes that he always has wasn't impressive lol. You all feeling sorry for all of the 5 star all Americans Saban has is comical. Who is feeling sorry for Saban? Seems to me a typical OSU fan response making something up that is not there. The guy said OSU beat the best Saban team yet last year and I believe that is first time I ever heard someone say that. Which I strongly disagree and its more of a OSU fan wanting to inflate how good of a victory it was even more than it really was. As for the other comment he said msu should have blown OSU out and that shows how talented OSU is. Well Michigan state had its backup qb playing so I would hope they wouldn't be able to blow OSU out. OSU is a very good team but had a very bad lost losing at home to a backup qb. It's no more no less.
November 22, 201510 yr The way Mich. St. played last night was typical of their whole season. Honestly the running threat of a QB probably gave them more an advantage. Cook hasn't looked good all year. That was a typical Michigan state game whether back up QB was in there or not. Also shouldn't you know better than to talk to Ohio State fans about back up QB's? Not all all. I have said many times I don't think OSU wins it all last year with either Miller or Barrett because I don't think they beat Bama. They needed Jones and his big arm to win against Bama. His down field throws into tight windows to go along with the running game is what won it. I have been very clear on that all season and am not just saying it for the first time. That shows how good of a coach Urban is because he had three really good qbs. And I think the injuries actually helped them win it all cause it got Jones to play.
November 22, 201510 yr If they would have won the game Zeke wouldn't have said anything. Dude wants to win and was upset at the fact that he wasn't given the opportunity to lead his team to victory. He wants to win. That is not entitlement, that's competitiveness. So I will say it again. You are basically fine with it if any top player on the team calls out his coaches to the media after a lost? I bet more times than not a top player after a loss feels like they were not involved enough. Shoot all these top programs with multiple losses this year probably has players who feel like that. So you think its fine if that because a trend then? It's simple its the first loss they had this year and he is calling out a coach who had a far better resume and over a longer period of time than he does as a player. Going out to the media was was just wrong, period.
