Mayfield and Caldwell run the same offense. Did Desales every play Caldwell in 2A?

 

Desales played Caldwell in the state semi finals in 2012. It was coach Davis' first year. I was on the team. We were down 31-7 at half in a 3-4 defense. Switched to our normal defense which was a 4-3 in the second half and the final score was 43-31. Safe to say desales has stuck with the 4-3 since then and has been AWESOME.

I have seen both these teams the last 2 years at state.. IMO, last year, Desales was the better team.. The Colts had a great RB and a very stout D.. In 2013, I think Mayfield was the better team.. That team was fast on fast defensively and had a great passing attack in Guhy's sr year.. Deon Jackson was a game changer at WR and had 2 or 3 other big play receivers.. They weren't as strong at RB as some of the other teams, but, Mills was adequate and got the job done..

We are planning on broadcasting video live for the Mayfield vs. Desales game Friday. This would be a first for us from Mayfield. Does anyone have an idea of the Verizon LTE coverage at the field? We can do audio or video, but only if sufficient broadband is available. Any insight?

Verizon LTE will be sufficient at the field. You should not have any trouble at all having full strength.

I have to admit that you are partly right tho, the game against desales Friday night probably will be tougher than 2 of mayfields last 3

Bottom line is both teams are very good and we all hope for a good game. One that is not decided by officials, but by on the field play. I am just worried this could get a little out of control especially if the winner taunts the loser. Both fan bases need to stay classy or it could get ugly. Some MF fans think they will win by 20-30 points, so we will see.
