With this being a holiday weekend, and Mayfield being the only team left in the far end of the state, I wouldn't dare be late for this one. It was always full when Beechwood made the 5 hour trip. With the hype that this one is getting, I can only imagine.

It's not even Monday yet.... Going to be a VERY long week.

How the game was played against OC and the DS/CAL game will have no bearing on this matchup. The game is a lot of times about matchup. Again it will come down to how the lines play. If DS can't contain Mayfields defensive line then it will be along night and it goes both ways. The lines of both teams will be a huge factor.

 

BINGO Snake! The line of scrimmage determines the outcome of nearly EVERY football game. DeSales' D-Line is strong, close to dominant. The O-Line has been a big question mark, but after getting beaten pretty badly by CAL the first time around, they turned the tables in the second game. DeSales comes in injury-free and playing their best football of the year. If Mayfield wins, they will have beaten the best version of DeSales this year. No excuses.

Looking forward to seeing your stadium and experiencing what should be a really fun and really LOUD environment (I'm STILL hoarse from Friday!). Does your stadium have seats on both sides, or will we all be on one side together?

How much visitor seating does War Memorial have ? Can we bring in folding chairs?

Small bleachers on visitors side, maybe seats for 200, that's a guess, but should be plenty of seats on home side, stadium was bout 3/4 full last week.

Visitors side is not real big. But once they fill up you can set on the home side opposite of the scoreboard. Our stadium is not at the school so we do not have a track around it so you are really close to the field. Chairs probably wouldn't be a good idea.

DS's D-line is good, but certainly not the best MF has faced. Take Murray as an example, I'm not seeing any Corey Dickerson or Tre Hornbuckle caliber athletes up front for DS.

I'm just going by the results Diesel. If your O-Line neutralizes our D-Line, you guys probably win.

The Stadium address is 950 West Lockridge Street, Mayfield, KY. From I-69 AKA the Jackson Purchase Parkway take exit 24 and you can see the stadium lights from the top of the exit to your left. The Winfield Inn and Super 8 Motel are both at this interchange.

The field has a nice crown on it and drains well and is in pretty good shape

Thanks for the info Cardinal44, Toothpick....I'm hoping there will a bus for us to go on....I'm pretty sure there will be. Have tempted to drive down so we can get there early for some BBQ tho and maybe stay the night.....

If you plan to stay the night, the Winfield and Motel 8 are the only 2 options I would use in Mayfield and those 2 are only a couple minutes from the stadium. The Winfield is a older Holiday Inn that the Winfield folks have been renovating but I am unsure how far along they are on the renovations. The Motel 8 is not all that old so it will be fine. There are other easy options in Draffenville that is on the parkway interchange about 20 miles out or motels at Kentucky Lake like Kentucky Dam
