His arrest was in July. Using Urban's logic, Stoops could have suspended him for two weeks. Doesn't matter whether they had games those weeks or not. Two week suspension is apparently two weeks and not two games.

This thread cracks me up...so if a kid at one school gets punished for a DUI, any kid at another school must get the same punishment? Or if not, the coach only cares about winning? This just in...ALL major D-1 coaches only care about winning. If Urban suspended him two games, I would have been OK. He suspended him one and I am OK with that. All this non-sense about Barker or what happened to a UK women's player or what Northwest Southeast Oklahoma St did when its player had a DUI does not make a bit of interest to what OSU does to Barrett.

 

I am surprised with the post about a friend of the coach saying that JT is not trusted by the coaches or not liked by the other players...none of that seems correct to me. Players voted him team captain and he seemed to take his benching AMAZINGLY well. I am not buying the "friend of a coach" narrative at all..
