I would not take WC over Hopkinsville, but we'll see if it plays out.

As far as the tie breaker scenario goes, the only thing that is certain is that Warren Central cannot finish ahead of FS. WC has 3 points (1 from East and 2 from Meade Co., both of whom have finished their regular seasons) and can get 7 points if they beat Greenwood next week for a maximum possible of 10 points. FS already has 11 points (6 from Monroe Co., 3 from Portland,TN and 1 each from Warren East and Metcalfe Co.). Allen Co. already has 9 points (5 from Glasgow, 3 from Barren Co., and 1 from East). Central will finish ahead of AC-S only if WC beats Greenwood AND AC-S loses to Bardstown, AND Glasgow loses to E-town, AND Barren Co. loses to Edmonson Co.

Bardstown has 5 wins, so if AC-S beats them they have at least 14 points. If FS loses, they would need Monroe to beat Wayne Co., Metcalfe to beat Caverna, and Portland to beat Macon Co. to get to 14 points and hope that Glasgow and Barren Co. both lose. Even then at 14 points apiece they would be tied and I think then it would revert back to head to head matchup which would give AC-S the edge.

Bottom line, yes, FS is the 2 seed with a win over Russellville regardless of other outcomes since Russellville has 8 wins. If FS loses and AC-S wins AC-S will be the 2 seed. If both lose, FS would need either Glasgow or Barren to lose to claim the 2 seed or would need wins by Portland, Monroe or Metcalfe.

 

Most people on here have probably heard how good East's RB Willie Reynolds is, but also keep an eye on their sophomore QB Satterfield. Both of them had some good runs last night, and Satterfield has good elusiveness and also made some good passes. Difference in the game was in the lines, as FS was dominant on both sides of the ball. If Reynolds and Satterfield could get some holes to run through, East would be a dangerous team.
