Given the preceived situation at UofL,is it possible that NCAA delivers Death Penalty

Featured Replies

Without passing any judgement on this situation, I really believe IF the acusations are True, the NCAA could impose the "Death Penalty" on UofL Men's basketball. Again, I said if True!!!! Then again, I think enough damage is already done to give the collaterial "death penalty".... All of this is NOT Good!!!!! I for see Pitino, Jurich and all of the Men's basketball staff to be relieved of their duties!!!!! This will not be pretty folks. Hang on to your seats, the show is just starting for the next 12 months!!!!!!!

Unlikely. U of L is not in that kind of danger IMO unless Pitino was involved directly. I don't thin most believe that he was.

No. There is absolutely no chance that's even remotely considered.

Even if Pitino was writing Katina Powell personal checks, UofL would still not get the death penalty.

This board is worse then ESPN of making mountains out of mole hills, especially if it is a UK rival. You allow your fandom to cloud your common sense.

Only 3 of them? I would have filled my entire screen with head slaps.

Only five schools have ever been given the death penalty.

SMU: school received the ultimate penalty after they were sanctioned for serious violations regarding impermissible benefits then, while on probation, the NCAA discovered that players were STILL getting paid.

Kentucky: players accepted money from gamblers for shaving points, an historically terrible thing for athletes to do that affects the integrity of the games themselves.

SW Louisiana: direct payments to players AND widespread academic fraud including a coach forging a high school transcript.

The other two were not D-I and I don't remember the circumstances.

No, UofL will not get the death penalty. This doesn't begin to reach the levels of those as far as violation of NCAA rules.

Louisville and North Carolina are two completely different situations, but Carolina got a free pass when the hammer should of came down. No death penalty for the Ville, but there needs to be changes on how they do business.

I don't think they'll get the death penalty but I do believe they will be punished handily.

Did I miss the final ruling on UNC?

No DP for the Cards nor should there be even if ever word of the allegations are proven true. They may get hammered but no way they get the Death Penalty.

One person does not represent this entire group. Not a single person agrees with them.

North Carolina situations is a lot worse, and nothing is being done there.
