I love Breathitt Co. that roof that keeps you dry is awesome...just make sure of your sight lines, those poles can get in the way. Then the way the sound just booms out to the field from under the roof makes it the loudest place that I've ever been to.

 

Belfry is just about the perfect setting for a game (parking isn't the best) plenty of "Away" bleachers and for the most part a very hospitable crowd.

Dayton Green devil stadium. It brings back childhood memories of playing on the field and they stone work and gates in the entrance are really cool. Where else can you go and not have the entire field in play? There is a corner end zone that is blocked by a fence.

DeSales is building a new stadium that is set to open next year. It will be my favorite venue because it means we will finally have some home games!

In Louisville, Manual Stadium tops the list, old but well kept for most part, for fans restrooms and concessions could be updated, but love the press box, most don't like the spiral staircase, but it's part of the history, I was told it came from an old Navy vessel. I love the vantage for doing stats, can see whole field. Many press boxes in Louisville are too low for a good view.

 

Central has a nice setup, parking is scarce and can be tight to move from side to side but to build into an existing city block including a building is different, and finally gave Central a home that is all theirs.

 

Most of the other Louisville venues are pretty standard without really standout features, Trinity is very nice and like the feel without a track, St X is nice if you ignore the visitor side.

I think old Manual Stadium is a really cool one. It has some of the "more original" lettering and ticket window still there. The field was constructed/designated in 1923 I believe.

 

I'm wondering if this is the same place NewCath played DeSales in a playoff game about 7/8 years ago? The stadium was in the middle of a city neighborhood I believe.....but it was pretty cool venue.

I remember playing at Betsy layne in 97 with breathitt. The field was up behind the school nestled away in the hills. There we re several deer or tree stands all around the field where people hunted. Also saw a couple deer far end of field when we went out for walk thru. Also remember the old cawood field when the horse would run out on field. One of poo our players was nearly hit by it

I 100% agree. Ludlow is a Great setting and atmosphere for a high school football game and their Homecoming festivities are the absolute best.

Many times over the years when I pass through Russellville, Ky.I have parked my car and walked up the hill to the home of the Panthers, Rhea Stadium. The massive stone wall with the stone faces of Jim Thrope, Ty Cobb, Red Grange, Jack Dempsey, Babe Ruth and Paavo Nurmi (most would have to google Nurmi to know who he was) at the entrance to the stadium is a sight to behold. Step inside and see this great old stadium built by the WPA as several were in Western Kentucky. The Panthers have been playing here for 75 years.Google Rhea Stadium for an interesting read.

Love Dayton's stadium. I've always liked Gilligan as well in Bellevue.

I vote Dayton. The rock walls, people on their deck watching the games from above the Dayton sideline locker rooms big enough for maybe 20 people. Its a classic just dont throw a fade in the one end zone it could be a season ended for the WR. I went to a varsity game there last season and was sad to see only maybe 50 people there tops.

Because of the history I like Danville's Admiral Stadium! Heading there shortly for a middle school game between Boyle Co MS and Danville Bate MS.

 

Knox County Central was pretty cool last year with the rock mountain behind the home bleachers but man was it cold?!?!
