Darius Barbour. He looked great against Boyle County and he was more of a problem for Boyle than Arnette was a problem for Boyle. How did he do tonight?

That Mattingly defense wasn't so stellar against the purples. 36 in a half. I'm sure the final score could have been much worse. Humble pie tonight. Like I said in a previous post that Central is NOT elite. They have a good solid team. They should win out.

Yes Barbour played. Did not get loose tonight. Offense is still struggling for Central. BG is a very disciplined team as far football goes, trash talking is another story- toward fans especially. But BG is for real and believe they are much better than SW. Bibb was still out for CH and Arnette was too. Also, Krupinski was not at 100% as was Talley who was done at half (foot injury) CH should win out and hopefully find an offensive identity along the way. Good job to BG!

Just got home from game and from the response you would have thought BG was playing South.

I don't live in BG anymore and because of this don't dispise South (although I dont like the current outcome at WCentral), but it seems there are some serious water cooler battles/ trash talking going on. Bottom line is all you have is opinions because they aint playing. My advice: enjoy the ride. Do you know how many other areas would like to have 2 arguably #1 rated football teams in different classes in the same county! Enjoy the ride!

Purples are starting to look like a well oiled machine. That doesn't bode well for the rest of 5A. They are starting district play next week and will probably rest some those that need it and play a lot of the younger kids. Our district is pretty weak, since realignment. I have taken the advice of several fellow posters and will give credit where it is due. South Warren has a very good team. Having two #1 teams in the same city/county says a lot about Bowling Green and Warren County. I hope South Warren wins every game until they step up and schedule us. It's never been about the kids. It's like a lot of things in life. Adults ruin it for the kids.

Confused when there was ever trash talking from either team's players during that game.. But if they did say something to the fans, maybe there should also be a change to fans sitting right up on the endzone line trash talking the players.... Personally, this bothered me the whole game. Not very safe if a player was to run through the back of the endzone and hit bodies, chairs, and umbrellas.

Not 1 South Warren Fan has posted in this thread, and not 1 fan brought up the SW vs BG rivalry. I have read all previous post and it seems BG fans are the ones puffing out their chest. Believe it or not I am happy for BG and their success.

IMO there is nothing wrong with a little back and forth banter between fans, but to suggest it is one sided is absurd. Furthermore no one really knows who chose not to schedule who this season, so why don't we just agree to disagree on the circumstances surrounding that situation.
