This is fun. Like I said, great rivalry is brewing. Hopefully it will be a FAT gate everytime so the kids can enjoy it as much as we will, having an insane environment.

This is still going on?? Look the bottom line is South Warren was offered multiple dates to play BG, they declined for whatever reason. The teams don't have to play, they have the right to turn down playing BG. That's fine. Just what irks me is members of a fan base of probably what should be a 5A or 6A school playing in 4A the year after all the big boys left acting all arrogant like BG (Who will play the likes of Trinity, St. X, Lexington Catholic, McCallie, etc) was scared to play them which is flat out not true.

poster like you are what's wrong with this site check your facts before you talk they may have been offered but those dates were filled already .just like the dates SW offered .also SW is a 4a school even last year they were seconded smallest 4a which in turn puts them in 3a they will by all estimation be 5a next realignment so before you spout off check facts don't take what people put on here as fact .and as I said before I don't think Smith or Wallace are ducking it is sometimes hard to schedule

Before telling someone to check their facts, you might want to check your grammar and punctuation. And pretty much your entire statement is not correct.

I was at the Blackmon game. I sent my wife and smaller kids home at halftime because I thought there was going to be a riot. Their coaches, players and fans acted like a bunch of wild animals. There were threats made during and after the game about the return trip to Murfreesboro the next year. The superintendent and school board made the decision not to play that game and I agree with them. We beat McCallie on their field in a thriller and they were unbelievably classy. A few weeks later, Blackmon rolls into town with their Alabama, Tennessee, ect... recruits, thinking they were gonna steamroll the Purples and they didn't like the results. I've never seen a team or fan base come unglued like them. They got exactly what they deserved.

Not to relive the Blackmon game, but I was there too. I've never see anything like it. I told some of the coaching staff a few days later I wouldn't be traveling to next year's game at Blackmon because I didn't want to deal with the hassle, possible harassment or worse.

 

I have never seen anything like that in any of the hundreds of games I have been to. That entire night was nuts from pregame to walking off the field. I'm pretty sure their coach got fired after the following season for something shady too. It was nuts that's for sure.
