They have been a mystery all year to figure out their value and now we know... just another middle of the pack 6A team.

 

As for BG... this is what the #1 team in 5A is supposed to look like!

But I thought putting up this many points on a "Tim Mattingly Defense" is ABSURD!

Some folks thought I was nuts when I predicted 42. Hitting exact number may have been a bit lucky but I knew I would be in the ballpark. If field would have been dry, score would have been worse. No offense to Hardin fans but WAY too slow.

 

I'm not going to do the what if game concerning Purples and South Warren. I will say the Purples are 1 bad quarter (st.x) from probably running the table.

 

Here is my take vs possible championship game vs Pulaski (Red Devils, no offense. We will have to play well to beat you in week 3). As much as Central Hardin ran is how much Pulaski will throw. Purples are better against the pass than the run. As far as Purples offense we will score 4 or 5 times each game night playoffs (except maybe Red Devils). I don't see a 5a school putting up 35 on Purples.

Just got home from game and from the response you would have thought BG was playing South.

I don't live in BG anymore and because of this don't dispise South (although I dont like the current outcome at WCentral), but it seems there are some serious water cooler battles/ trash talking going on. Bottom line is all you have is opinions because they aint playing. My advice: enjoy the ride. Do you know how many other areas would like to have 2 arguably #1 rated football teams in different classes in the same county! Enjoy the ride!

All that does is make the trash talk louder. I live in TitleTown aka Danville. The Boyle County/Danville rivalry was a lot nastier when both schools were at the top of their classes. The difference is that they play each other every year. We're still waiting for South Warren to step up but that doesn't stop them from puffing their chests out when their freshmen and JV teams defeat BG. The trash talk is only going to get louder. I'm definitely going to enjoy the ride.
