September 22, 201511 yr My mom has been gone almost 30 years. It was a tough time, but as the years go by I still think about her often, especially when my kids were born, or when I screwed up wondering what she would have to say about it. Your dad might be gone, but a big part of him will always be with you. You will carry a lot of what you learned from him forever, and you will feel his approval, and sometimes disapproval as your life goes on.
