For the sake of discussion how many drops were there? I remember 2 impactful drops. Towles was 8-24. Was there 10 drops tonight?

Towles just is t getting it done. He's been closer to horrible than not since game 7 of last year and that hasn't changed much. Even in the 2 wins this year.

Wasn't enough dropped passes that would erase his inaccuracy tonight which was a bigger problem.

That is what I've been saying since spring ball.

 

I think if Barker doesn't get a shot this year and soon it sends a lack of faith about Barker than anything. For such a highly touted recruit, if he is t a better option than PT at this point it may be time to start recruiting heavy on another QB.

Hoak is coming in to UK in the 2016 and he can sling it. But I agree you have to throw Barker in there, maybe it could put the fire under PT butt.

I don't think that Pat needs a fire lit. I think that he tries too hard. When he misses, he is missing high and his mechanics look bad. That tells me that he is trying too hard, like a pitcher overthrowing. Fact of the matter is is that with that offensive line, no QB in America is going to be consistent. Why they didn't use a TE to help out the Freshman OT is beyond me. Florida's end should have been chipped by a TE or RB on every pass play. His speed rush game was awesome.

I don't agree. High overthrows on slants and hitch/curl/hook routes are not due to the offensive line. It is all about mechanics and throwing the football. Towles has below average decision making and throws are erratic. At UK you will never compete in the SEC East unless you have solid QB play. It does not have to be great, but must be solid and Towles is not.

 

Time for a change.

It's too late to out a fire under PT's butt. If he hadn't had one already then it's too late.
