Time for Barker. Please

Featured Replies

Please stoops. Just give him a try.

Towles is inaccurate and can't play under pressure

Exactly, and Barker is even worse. Towles needs to stay the starting QB.

So what happens when Barker gets a shot and doesn't do any better? Who will be the scapegoat then?

How's the VILLE's season going, I'd worry about your own team, who isn't very good, to begin with.

Take a seat, rookie.

No scapegoat. Give him a shot and see if all the hype around his recruitment was

Correct or not.

Why does there have to be a scapegoat? PT can't get the job done so do you just leave him in to lose?

I'm just saying, if Barker can't get it done either, the blame will be shifted else where. I am of the belief that Towles is likely the best option, which is why he's been playing. Why would any coach play the lesser QB, especially after how much discussion that position has gotten? There is a reason Barker isn't playing, we just don't know what it is.

When Louisville plays a team as bad as ULL or USC Light we will find out more. Might have to wait until late November to find that out

He's not allowed to ask a logical question?

Unless Drew Barker is a special athelte that is going to run away from SEC defensive lineman it won't matter.

Being there last night it was painfully obvious how bad UK is up front offensively.

The game was not PT fault at all. The sack late however was his responsibility, but that game was lost long before that.

Told a buddy of mine late in the game that if I was Florida I would be content to punt and play defense all night long because we couldn't block them, at all, and wern't going to go 70-80 yards because Towels doesn't have enough time.

Just don't think a QB change would make that big a difference.

I guess you have to ask yourself, would the would be receivers start to catch all those dropped passes? Always easiest to blame the Coaching and QB.

Not only that, but PT needs better protection from his O line.

And by better, I'd start with some.

I don't agree. High overthrows on slants and hitch/curl/hook routes are not due to the offensive line. It is all about mechanics and throwing the football. Towles has below average decision making and throws are erratic. At UK you will never compete in the SEC East unless you have solid QB play. It does not have to be great, but must be solid and Towles is not.

Time for a change.

Didn't you just agree w me?

I don't think it will be blame getting pushed around. I think if he can't get it done then everyone will realize that UK still just isn't very good.

You won't know unless you try to use all your resources to see where you're at. You never know unless you try.

Fact of the matter is is that with that offensive line, no QB in America is going to be consistent. Why they didn't use a TE to help out the Freshman OT is beyond me. Florida's end should have been chipped by a TE or RB on every pass play. His speed rush game was awesome.

I agree with above, but to be honest I wouldn't mind seeing what Barker could do in a real game.

I understand your statement Deuce, but at least we'll see what he can do and if he fails, that should get the Towles over Barker naysayers off coach Stoop's back for a while. However, that OLine isn't helping.

Stoops said in the postgame, "Have to be better around him" in regards to Pat. No change is coming.

Then I might not be watching them for a while.
