Apologies to all those that read my prediction in the pre-game thread and garnered hope. I expected to see continued improvement. If the Ryle game was one small step forward, this game was three giant steps back.

Sorry I took the night off but unofficially for St X 14/15 in the air for 167 yds, 38 rushes for 235. 53 plays for 482 total yds. For Highlands 18 rushes for 44 yds with Kendall 12/31. Highlands qb was 18/32 and 1 interception for 138 yds.

For St X QB Ridder 11/12 for 138 yds, Trey Clements 5 catches for 71 yds and 2 tds. Chase Rowan 10 rushes for 82 yds. Blake Roshkowski 2 TDS, 1 via run and 1 via pass.

St X 7/10 3rd down conversion.

I am behind him as well (not part of any mafia-just a fan) but I have heard from some very reliable sources that some parents are very upset. Not surprising when a school that has had the success that HHS has struggles this much. I am sure the players are embarrassed as well as many others associated with the program.

 

I went to the game tonight - first one I made this year because of various conflicts. I was shocked at how outmanned they were. Weinrich has been a very good football coach for 15+ years at that school. He did not forget how to coach this year. They simply DO NOT have the horses this year. Defense is SMALL and not particularly fast. X just pushed them around all night and did whatever it wanted. Offense is no better than average and the QB does not even resemble a D-I QB to me.

I was out of town and missed the Ryle game. HHS was dominated. This group is going in reverse. Just bad football. No need to call anybody out the list would be to long. I saw a couple of new faces from offense on defense but not what I was expecting. If you can't move the sticks on offense and can't stop the Jet on defense. Translates to an early night and running clock. Going by tonight. UK congrats on your running clock next week.

I do not know the answer, so I am not trying to take a shot at him. Is this the first time Coach Weinrich has been the OC and what is the DC experience?

They were out manned period. That is what was stated. 20-0 before HHS punt return. Sorry but they were overmatched in that game also.

X is a good team but HHS made them look much better than they are. First quarter you fumble a punt, throw an int, no first downs on offense and an anemic defense makes a lot of opponents look good. No running game, no passing game, you have a couple a good line men and a good kicker, not going to win many games with that. Hope for 3 more wins if you can get by CCH and limp into playoffs and hope for a first round win. It is going to be a tough year. Hope injured player is ok, he took a big time hit and heard he was coughing up blood, never a good thing.

Parents are upset? Really and what are they upset about? Players are embarrassed? Are you kidding me? We are talking about high school kids correct? What is the program embarrassed about?

 

You know what you do if your defense is small, you stunt and move guys around at the snap rather than letting them sit there and get mauled by guys that are twice their size. All of you can say what you want about the offense being okay, I will ask what game you are watching?

I am questioning the whole team at this point. And now your going to throw them players to our JV team just because the coaches felt it necessary to not play players that have played all year. do you not think that is a slap in the face to the boy's who have played every game but tonight? This whole program is down right embarrassing.
