September 18, 201511 yr As much as I dug early Genesis with Peter Gabriel, and initially even liked some of Phil Collin's solo stuff, the more famous pop Genesis era with Phil as the leader got old fast and really started to wear on me. Maybe just maybe if radio hadn't overplayed them during this period I might have been able to have stomached it more, but overkill can ruin even some of the best music. I'll never know because I've heard those tunes enough to satisfy 100 life times that I don't care to ever hear them again.
September 18, 201511 yr Emerson Lake and Palmer always got on my nerves, and when I think of them it was the keys that got under my skin the most. Emerson might've been considered a great keyboard player, but for me his style gave me an instant migraine.
September 18, 201511 yr I dug some early Aerosmith, then it all went downhill and became ridiculously annoying.
September 18, 201511 yr Can't stand to hear anything by Metallica. And I agree with the earlier post about Nirvana. Painful to listen to.
September 18, 201511 yr Kiss?? What the heck? There is NO NEED for that makeup. Have you saw them without it...trust me it's better that they wear it!
September 18, 201510 yr Can't believe no one has mentioned them yet.... The Beatles. Thank you. One of those groups that you are suppose to love, but I just didn't get all the hype.
