September 18, 201510 yr Kiss?? What the heck? There is NO NEED for that makeup. It distracts from the fact they suck.
September 18, 201510 yr Of those listed, I'll go with: Janis JoplinKISS Bob Dylan Dave Matthews However, I still love her "Take Another Piece of My Heart." She sang it with passion. Otherwise, not a Big JJ fan.
September 18, 201510 yr Anything rap. I would say rap music but that is an oxymoron. THIS! THIS! THIS!
September 18, 201510 yr I've finally arrived at a place in my life that I can appreciate and enjoy all music with the exception of today's modern pop country. I only listen to music in my home. Not in my car,not on the radio and no CDs. Vinyl only with the exception of reel to reel tape.
September 19, 201510 yr However, I still love her "Take Another Piece of My Heart." She sang it with passion. Otherwise, not a Big JJ fan. I like the "Red Rocker's" version better.
September 19, 201510 yr John Cougar or Mellencamp, either way, he is the worst! U2 Willie Nelson Guns N Roses Coldplay Garth Brooks and the rest of the Twang Pop bands that think they're Country. Sting A lot of the "Hair" bands of the 80s Nirvana - well, anything grunge, horrible genre. Rap/Hip Hop, also a horrible genre. Dave Matthews Band Boy Bands- ugh! Bruce Springsteen partly, some of his stuff is okay, the rest blows. Pretty much ALL modern day Pop.
September 19, 201510 yr Never understood why rock radio played "38 Special" to death, and still can't figure out why classic rock radio continues to play them as if they were something special. What's to love? I never got it. I'll disagree. Great band, great guys. They put on a good show too. A polished Southern Rock band IMO. 2 different guys sang lead, great guitar tone too.
September 19, 201510 yr Rush get's a pass in my book. Lee's voice is hard to listen to, but Neil is one of if not the best drummer of all time.

September 20, 201510 yr Gonna have to admit. I graduated in 1977. Up until age 35 or so I couldn't stand Led Zeppelin. Basically because of "Stairway To Heaven" overkill. However, I saw the error of my ways. There, that is off my chest. I feel much better... Ran Cross Country in high school. The hardest hill on the home course was called "Stairway to Heaven", because the finish line was not much further. I hated that song back then and I still do.
September 21, 201510 yr First one off the top of my head, and I'm sure that I'll come up with more is... Van Halen To be cool I faked liking them in high school, but they were truly just not my thing. Sure I could appreciate Eddie's guitar prowess, but otherwise they just got on my nerves and so did everyone who'd hoot and holler when their tunes would come on the radio. I hid pretty well for a long time that I was really rolling my eyes. Wow! I often wonder what it would be like to hear Eruption for the first time back in the late 70's after hearing disco, Blondie, Journey and some awful Stones and Kiss songs from that period. I am too young to have heard their 1st album when it came out but it had to be so cool to hear. Old hat now but so different then.
