When I saw them open for Ozzy on their first album they had a certain mystique and weirdness that made the hair stand up on my neck and chills run down my spine, then they abandoned that vibe for some cheesy pop schlock for the MTV generation.

That might have been the first time I saw them also...not sure. To me "Too Fast for Love" was big hair type songs performed by guys dressed more like Judas Priest. They were different and exciting and I think a little ahead of the curve. Then came "Shout of the Devil" similar songs a little more make up. But I guess it is easy to see where it looks or seems like they sold out.

September 18, 201511 yr Lots of blasophemy in this thread. Speaking of blasphemy... There's no denying that Bob Dylan is legendary and has penned a phenomenal number of songs in his lifetime, and many many really good ones at that, and the music world would've never been the same without him, but as his career wore on delivering those songs was not one of his high points. He eventually turned into an unintelligible mumbler who appeared to barely even try to make his words comprehendable making him quite painful to listen to.
