September 3, 201511 yr I am 6'6", to be normal, I would have to weigh less than 220 lbs. Short of going vegan and running 10 miles a day, I don't know how I could possibly weigh less than 220 being as tall as I am.
September 3, 201511 yr Appreciate the insight!! No bother at all. I'm taking in 2K at least. Lifting wise, at least 2-3 times a week (like this week...got in Monday and Tuesday....21-15-9 Crossfit type deal with a co-worker....upper on Monday, lower body on Tues.....squat and cleans w/ 135). My days look like this usually: Breakfast- High protein/low carb shake OR 3 egg white omelet with spinach. Around 10- Always walk out the door with about 20 almonds I keep in my pocket and eat. Lunch- Salad...all spinach based w/ Tuna (in water, drained of course). Very little Ranch dressing...I mean, very little and some of my wife's vinagarette. Tomoatoes/Olives. 2 or so- Scoop of Natural Peanut Butter 4- Banana 6-7: A good supper. More times than not, another salad like lunch. I probably drink 70-80 ounces of water a day. I'll have a drink (bourbon/water) every other night...sleep potion. My weekends? I'll toss a few back (literally a few). I'll take all the suggestions I can get Mex. If you dropped calories to 1500. You would drop 3500 calories a week. That equals 1lb. Also cheat day can be a misnomer. You eat 10000 calories in that day and you just blew up the whole week of dieting. Not a fan
September 3, 201511 yr My doctor told me I was "morbidly obese" last year when I visited. Last night, I benched 270 and swam the length of 3 football fields :thumb: But, you do know fat floats, right? :lol2:
September 3, 201511 yr Also cheat day can be a misnomer. You eat 10000 calories in that day and you just blew up the whole week of dieting. Not a fan So basically all those people that say "You can have a cheat day!" are really lying. Because unless you barely eat more calories than your non-cheat days, your whole week of eating good was pointless.

If he tried to eat 1500 calories per day he is doing himself no favors. he's already well below his maintenance.
September 3, 201511 yr So basically all those people that say "You can have a cheat day!" are really lying. Because unless you barely eat more calories than your non-cheat days, your whole week of eating good was pointless. No, I think it just means you don't have to nickel and dime every calorie on that day...but, you still need to be reasonable. Don't wipe out a Golden Corral or anything. But, from everything I've been told, the "cheat day" is really to let you body know you're not going into starvation mode. If it does, then it'll start saving EVERYTHING it can. (I guess it's the same philosophy as changing up your exercise routine every 6 weeks or so, in that regard.) But I don't think having a 3500 calorie day (when your body is used to 2000 or so the rest of the week) is really that bad. Just my opinion, of course.
September 3, 201511 yr Calculate Your BMI - Standard BMI Calculator I am 6'0 tall. Weigh about 205 now. Still carrying more than I want but... At my height I would be obese at 221 pounds. Is that really "obese?" I guess it would depend on whether its muscle or fat. A 6' tall guy could weigh 250, but if he was all muscle, I certainly wouldn't consider him obese. On the other hand, I would consider a 6' guy that weighs 220, obese, if they didn't have much muscle mass.
September 3, 201511 yr A lot of NFL running backs would be obese. Emmitt Smith at 5'9" 210 in his playing days would easily be.
September 4, 201511 yr So basically all those people that say "You can have a cheat day!" are really lying. Because unless you barely eat more calories than your non-cheat days, your whole week of eating good was pointless. It depends on so many things. Body fat percentage, activity levels, calorie deficit. At low bf levels, you need them to refill glycogen stores, but if you are low, like below 10 to 12, you know how to do that properly anyway bc you figured out how to get that lean. The point of the cheat day for the rest of us is the same idea, plus a mental break. Problem is, people use it as a hall pass and go crazy with high fats and carbs, easily getting into excess range. If you want to do that, keep it to one meal until you get below 15 percent. Otherwise plan out the cheat better. Don't do as much high fats.
September 4, 201511 yr At the upper end of overweight. Was at the lower end until I quit smoking on May 9th. I will be obese in about a month the way I am figuring it.

Take in less calories than you burn and body will go to fat reserves to make up for deficit. Ig he's not losing weight he needs to either burn more calories or consume less.
