Any word if this game is going to broadcasted by any means???

Nothing worked last week against Cooper, I had to have my brother text me updates. I would pay "good" money if someone were to just run a camera from up above the press box and video the game with only the announcer over the sound system as audio. there has to be some h.s. kid with the tech savy to do this that needs a lil cash.

With all of the money and av equipment that highlands has im really surprised they don't broadcast every game online

So I am assuming that last weeks game was not broadcast? I had heard they were having some technical issues.

It's been mentioned before. The answer given at that time was they felt it was because of the "gate" would go down and that equals revenue down...AND HHS does not want their games online to be watched by potential opponents. No idea if that's the real reasons or not, but it makes sense to me!!!

Does HHS use Hudl? If not they people they play do. All the film anyone needs is

Already out there.

It would be interesting to see how many teams do broadcast video of their games, both home and away. As far as I know HHS has broadcast audio of their home games but don't know that they've done anything on away games. What are other schools doing? I know CCH has audio of it's games.

Highlands has broadcast games both home and away for many many years. This is there first attempt at video in addition to audio. Trust me when I say this, I am not sure you want to see these ugly mugs on video.

It was said for years before HUDL, that Dale was totally against video of games for the reasons that have been previously stated.

They do. It was the only way that I could watch the St X scrimmage and Cooper game.

No reason to worry about broadcasting the game then..

I suspect this is a technical issue. I thought there was an issue with some of the providers, like maybe they went out of business. @Mustang do you know any details on the current streaming options ?

Here is the status of video broadcasts via EZStream, formerly the most popular

venue for streaming video. This was sent out by EZ Stream on July 13th to all users. Seeing how we (Brossart) only stream audio, we are not affected by the changes.

*** THIS EMAIL APPLIES TO EZSTREAM PRODUCERS OF LIVE VIDEO STREAMS IN THE COLLEGE AND HIGH SCHOOL SPACE.

*** LIVE ONLY. VIDEO ONLY. HIGH SCHOOL AND COLLEGE ONLY.

*** IF YOU ARE AUDIO ONLY, OR A VIDEO PRODUCER NOT IN THE HIGH SCHOOL OR COLLEGE SPACE, THIS DOES NOT APPLY TO YOU.

*** THANK YOU.

Dear EZStream User;

As you know, technology is constantly changing and evolving. No where is this more evident than in the area of streaming media.

EZStream has always prided itself on bringing their clients the best possible technologies at the lowest cost. In the streaming world, this can be a challenge as bandwidth becomes increasingly available and protocols and standards change.

Unfortunately, there are changes in the industry worldwide that are affecting some of our products and services. These include the lack of CDN support for Windows Media (WMA, WMV) and announcement by Google and other browser vendors that Silverlight media players will no longer be supported in the near future. EZStream has some workarounds to some of the changes, but not to all of them.

Previously, EZStream had sent an email to selected customers detailing plans for ongoing support. This email was not well received and has forced us to rethink our situation.

Due to these market forces and other considerations, EZStream is forced to make the following service decisions. Please read the following carefully and completely.

Effective August 1, 2015, EZStream will no longer offer live video streaming in the college and high school space. This decision is final and is not negotiable. This does not affect our cities and towns, or our church streaming. Nor does it affect our audio clients.

Luckily, EZStream has some strong partners in the industry. One of those is BoxCast, which offers a very strong solution for HD streaming. We have worked closely with BoxCast on a plan for ongoing support of our video clients and are transitioning our college and high school video accounts to BoxCast, effective August 1.

In addition, BoxCast has been kind enough to agree to extend existing pricing for another year to all EZStream college clients. This is a very good deal.

I have copied Mike Donlin from BoxCast on this email. He will be in touch with all affected clients in the next few days. Please give Mike and BoxCast a chance. They are a great company.

*** Important Points and FAQs ***

1. On August 1, EZStream will no longer offer video in the high school and college space.

2. Video will still be supported for cities and towns, and existing church clients.

3. All existing college and high school video accounts are being transferred to BoxCast LLC.

4. BoxCast has a migration plan for your archives.

5. Mike Donlin is the contact at BoxCast. He is copied on this email and will be in touch.

6. All archives are safe and are downloadable and playable for at least another year.

7. EZStream is not going out of business and is available via email to answer questions.

8. BoxCast has agreed to renew all college clients for another year and provide a free BoxCast unit.

9. Those in the high school space should contact Mike at BoxCast to discuss pricing options.

10. Archives are not being transferred to BoxCast and will still be available for playback.

11. Anyone with a past due balance is subject to having EZStream archives removed.

It has been a long and winding road for EZStream, one of the oldest streaming providers in the college and high school space. We have always valued our clients and many have become friends. The journey continues. We thank you for your continued support as we move forward.

We are sure you will be happy with BoxCast. Mike Donlin can be reached at [email protected], or 315-317-0192 (cell), and will be able to answer all of your questions. For additional information, please refer to the BoxCast website at http://www.boxcast.com.

Warmest Regards,

Craig and Ben

It was on 1530 AM locally. Not their online stream though.

First, you need a hudl account, right? Then if you have a hudl account, you need to be granted access to the film, right? You can't go on hudl and watch film on any team you want, right?

Correct. It is up to the teams to set it up correctly however. Some teams put the film out there for all to see.

Thank you. Therefore, game film isn't out there for anyone to see so it makes sense not to video stream all your games if you care about other teams seeing what you do.

If us and say Cooper share on hudl then we have your game film. You may not but your opponents may. That's all I'm saying.

Feeling better about this one since it is being played at HHS. East Central seemed to have the same problem with the o-line off sides issues last week that HHS had last year at Campbell.
