Colonels_Wear_Blue
I think my obvious #1 would be Cov Cath. To make it interesting, I'll give the 5 teams aside from my "home team" that I would like to see have winning records. I like seeing programs improve and develop into more successful teams. That being said, I have a hard time not rooting for the underdogs. The top 5 that pop into my mind are: Lloyd Memorial Ludlow Bellevue Pendleton County Bracken County

Colonels_Wear_Blue
I'd really like to see those few schools that have long losing streaks break them this year. Those kids needs something to get excited about. Exactly. Nothing against the guys playing for the successful programs, but it's got to be a lot tougher to go out and take your lumps week after week when you know your likely to come home with another loss each Friday, and when you know your season is going to be over in week 10 or 11. There's no doubt that with all the work that goes into playing football, the kids playing high school ball these days have a sincere love of the game. But I can't help but think that it's all the more impressive to see how much kids love the game when they're putting in all that time just to take a beating most every gameday. I can't help but really admire that kind of dedication, and I wouldn't love more than to get to see those guys be rewarded with a winning season. I remember playing against them in the mid-90's. They had an outstanding team in '95. They've got a proud history(multiple state titles) but have been barely above average for the past decade. TribePride
Lloyd and Ludlow were powers back in the day. We lost to Lloyd in the 75 Semi-Finals at Elkhorn City. Hopefully they will be back on their feet soon.
Colonels_Wear_Blue
Has Lloyd Memorial simply been hit by a talent drought? I remember playing against them in the mid-90's. They had an outstanding team in '95. They've got a proud history(multiple state titles) but have been barely above average for the past decade. Well...Lloyd is struggling with a few things. They (along with Holmes) are one of the most transient school districts in the state. Erlanger and Elsemere have a sizable population below the poverty line, and the Erlanger-Elsmere School District frequently sees students coming into and leaving their schools at a rapid rate as their family moves from apartment complex to apartment complex. Then you can add the fact that their athletic programs haven't seen too had much success in recent years, along with the fact that there are several other school districts nearby that can offer more athletic success...and as a result, the few people who have the opportunity to go to school elsewhere often seek that option out. I think, to a certain extent, it's just a situation where the kids from families that struggle frequently are in a hard spot to keep up with extra-curriculars like sports teams. That said, Lloyd is showing a lot of positives on the football field. From a 4-7 season in 2009, 2-9 season in 2010, and 7-5 in 2011, they've started turning things around with a 8-4 record in 2012, a 6-5 record in 2013, and a 8-3 record last year.
