NFL Upholds Brady Suspension

Recommended Posts

That explains why the Pats organization got hammered, but not Brady. The Falcons cheated, what did Matt Ryan get? What about Cleveland?

Did Matt Ryan do the actual cheating or was involved with it?

Was the Browns QB involved in the texting? Nope

Brady on the other the investigators believed he was involved.

They are punishing Brady for his lack of cooperation, not for the deflation. They punished the Patriots for that. If he takes this to court and loses, which is likely. He can play while that goes on but he could go from sitting out games in September to sitting out games in November or even December. I would cut my losses and just take it if I was him.

They also stated in the report he at the very least had knowledge of what was happening with the footballs. That is what the original

suspension was based on. The fact he didn't cooperate etc had to do with upholding the original

suspension.

I also don't think he can play until it goes to court. Again it isn't a criminal case. The appeal process the NFL allows already took place. That is when he can play until the appeal is heard. He can't play those 4 games. I may be wrong on that but I don't think so.

If this goes to court, I think the NFL loses big time as do most I heard from today on NFL Sirius. Brady is no choir boy as we all know and he is as competitive as they come. He will pull out all stops to win.

was Brady involved in spygate?

The patriots were just like they were with deflategate.

Was Belichick involved in deflategate? No, so he wasn't punished. The team was and was. Brady wasn't involved in spygate so he wasn't punished for that, the patriots are the team and was punished.

If brady was involved with spygate he probably would have been suspended more than just 4 games.

It it is odd to me that so many in here seem to be condoning cheating.

SportsCenter made the point about missing games later in the season if he loses in court. Just going by what I heard.

I think the only way he can play is if they receive an injunction. But the only way they get that is if the judge, who grants it, feels they have a good chance of winning the actual court appeal. So, if you get the injunction and win the appeal...he wouldn't miss any games. Get the injunction, but lose the appeal...then original penalty kicks back in, and he'd miss 4 games later on in the year. Our lawyer friends on here should be able to say if that's right or not.

They weren't under the allowable psi below the min.

Three of the 4 Colts' footballs were below the minimum on one of the two gauges used, but ok on the other. Sounds like the gauges are not very reliable.

Spygate happened seven years ago and NOBODY thinks Brady had anything to do with it. It was all put on Belichick. Not even the Wells report, as flawed as it is, says that Belichick had anything to do with deflate-gate. So you are giving extra punishment to Brady for something Belichick did seven years ago? Just a joke...

At least the court stuff and season will now be extra interesting.

He is the head coach right? The owner oene the team right? It's the same reason college teams and programs get in trouble even if its just one player. The ones in charge over see everything. It's a lack of being able to over see everything when what happened was your team cheating even if you weren't exactlyn involved.
