July 15, 201511 yr So the wallet I've had for the last 10 or 12 years is finally to the point where there's no getting around the need to replace it. I've carried a billfold for as long as I can remember (since the days when I was still carrying a Velcro wallet and walking to the Fort Mitchell Drug Shop buying baseball cards)...but for a long time now, I've actually kept my cash in my pocket in a money clip. So I've been considering the idea of getting a "cardholder" type wallet, but I'm not really in love with any of the ones I've found thus far. I know most guys are really particular about their wallets...some guys I know are brand specific, leather specific, and one guy I know even has a stockpile of 4 or 5 extras of the same wallet for when the current one wears out or gets lost. So what kind of wallet do you carry? Trifold, billfold, cardholder, travel wallet (the one that's like the size of a notebook), a chain wallet...
July 15, 201511 yr Billfold, funny you bring this up, been looking for a new one since Christmas, and just bought one last night. My current one is a Fossil, and Ive had it for about 7 years now.
July 15, 201511 yr gets lost. A) Tri-fold. B) If my wallet "gets lost", the type of wallet it was will be my last concern. Your friends should worry more about not losing it and less about having its twin in a closet. :bunny:
July 15, 201511 yr Small card holder type. I like it because it has four pockets/slots and one of them has a clear screen over it for IDs. That way I have one slot for my main cards, one slot for cash, one slot for backup card/insurance/etc, and one slot for IDs. It's about five years old and I could use a new one, but I've never seen one comparable. Most cardholders I've seen only have two slots and I haven't seen any with the ID thing.
July 15, 201511 yr Lately I have been carrying a front pocket wallet. 3 card pockets on one side, a clear pocket on the other side, and a larger pocket in the middle for cash. I like it so far.
July 15, 201511 yr I prefer trifolds. I'll fold most of what I carry in half and out it vertical in the center section of the trifold. I'll keep $100 or less horizontal across the length of the wallet. Debit/credit cards on the left fold, drivers license in the center, then business cards on the right fold.
July 16, 201511 yr Tri- fold I should mix it up though because I legitimately almost NEVER have cash. Except when I'm wanting to go to Dairy Kastle of course. 2 chili dogs and a medium drink for $3.50. Can't beat it.
July 16, 201511 yr Bi - fold smooth black leather. Brand doesn't matter to me, but this is the only style I have ever carried. It's the Sam as my dad has carried for as long as I remember.
July 16, 201511 yr Basic leather bifold. Old school. Me too, other than the current small wallet. I still have one that I keep most of the stuff I used to carry with me all the time. Other cards, business cards, a few pictures, extra cash, etc. I keep that one locked in my car in case I need it, and just carry the daily essentials in the small front pocket wallet around with me.
