I would say we are constantly under cyber attack and we are still at the tip of the iceberg.

It's not far fetched.

I will add that it seemed Webex failed around noon today. (posted in other thread).

Very unusual for Webex to fail. No web connections of phone bridging would work. So meeting cancelled.

Have to be. No way Wall Street shuts down because of technical difficulties. I have a hard time believing they don't have the best people in place to protect their computer systems. Looks like they lost today. They better get that money back......

The Wall Street Journals main page was also down for a bit late this morning.

Well, my internet service has been spotty since last night.

Perhaps I have an overly inflated sense of the importance of moi.

Wall street being shut down might be a blessing with what is going on in Greece and the EU. Everyone expected a run on Greek owned shares of US stock over the past few days.

Coincidence? Doubt it.

The collapse of Chinese markets has been the bigger problem. About half the companies on their main exchange voluntarily stopped their stock from being traded yesterday amid the single-day dip they'd ever seen.

NYSE says it is an "internal technical issue" and not an act of cyber-terrorism.

Maybe, but still suspicious.

That's what we'd expect them to say, can't let everyone freak out and crash the market :lol2:

Yes.

No one is paying attention to China right now.....look what is happening to there "stock exchange" the past month.....

Just wait until they figure out how to successfully take out our entire power grid.

We need to work on that very quick as that is one of the, if not the, most serious issue we face.
