November 19, 201510 yr Seems like I read somewhere non violent offenders serve about 20% of their time. I do not remember the context though. It could have been at a more local level. The plea deal was for 5 to 12 1/2 years and the judge said I don't think so. Gave him 15.6 years. According to TMZ, because he will be in federal prison, the standard time served is 85% which is just over 13 years. Good for the judge.
