It's a low security prison. So in theory, there are not a lot of violent offenders there.

Y'all know that I'm gay, but there's something about my specific tastes that only those who know me real well know about.

 

I'm not ashamed of myself, and there's no real need to reveal this considering that it's really no one's business, but in reading how people think of Jared it makes me think of a few things.

 

Everyone gay, straight, bi, or whatever they are has specific tastes, and usually by no real choice of their own.

 

You just like what you like, and all of you do as well, and maybe your tastes are similar and "normal" to the masses, or perhaps somewhat different, or possibly way different than everyone else's.

 

Sure, you have to take responsibility for acting on your taste, but still no one typically chooses their tastes nonetheless.

 

Jared was essentially busted for messing with 16 and 17 year olds when the legal age in the United States is 18.

 

Because of this he is being pegged and treated as being a pedophile or child molester, which in reality I'm not so sure that he truly is.

 

In some other countries the age of the girls that he had messed with were of legal age, so how we view "legal age" is somewhat relative.

 

In the U.S. a girl who is 17 years and 364 days old is a minor. So someone is a pedophile if they mess with her at that age, but the next day it's all good?

 

I don't know exactly where the cut off should be, and I can completely see some young ages being outrageously young, so don't even misread any of this as me advocating child molestation, because I am not.

In the whole world of gay people, though there are few others like me, I am a true minority with my specific taste, and those specific tastes have always had me being attracted to men at least 20 years older than myself with no exact limit to how much older, and with absolutely zero attraction to younger, same aged, or slightly older.

 

Even peculiar to myself because I didn't see foresee this happening because age is relative depending on what age you are, but whereas when I was 20 it was completely typical for me to be attracted to someone who was in their 40's or 50's, and now that I'm nearly 52 I am not the least bit attracted to anyone in their 50's, and now someone would pretty much have to be at least in their late 60's for me to be the least bit interested, or make me turn my head.

 

And just because I'm attracted to older doesn't mean every older man in the world, and though I said with no exact age limit that also doesn't mean that I go chasing men around who are in their 90's and pushing 100.

 

Actually when I was 20 with hormones jumping wild like most 20 year old guys, there was a whole sea of men in this world I might've considered my type, and now that I've aged a bit my desires have slowed up some with my tastes being much more refined and even more specific, but always at least 20 years older.

 

Some like to call my deal a "daddy complex", and I don't know what it is, or why my taste are what they are, all I know is that they are.

 

Not only do lots of straight people find me odd, so do lots of gay people.

 

When I came out to my childhood buds when I was 20, I had to make this completely clear so that they knew that I wasn't interested in them. They really didn't understand what my deal was, but they at least felt reassured that I was not going to be chasing after them.

 

As an example, everyone has their celebrity favorites and I'm no exception, and if it's popular and commonplace to like them, then no one thinks it's crazy or odd.

 

Because of the rareness of my unusual specific tastes I get to have most of my celebrity favorites all to myself.

 

I've always dug the likes of Arnold Palmer, Frank Sinatra, or Sean Connery to use those celebrities as a few examples of my tastes. I could name many more, but you get the idea.

 

Thankfully because my tastes are in mature men, they are of legal age by way more than a mile, and though many might find this odd, still my tastes are not illegal.

 

I didn't choose my taste, but I have often thought that neither has anyone else, and though my taste are unusual, I'm lucky that I can't be busted because of them.

 

Actually the way this society classifies every out of the ordinary person as being nuts, then it's really a total surprise to me that my tastes have not put me behind bars. Thankfully they haven't, but I've still had my share of strange reactions or raised eyebrows. I'm picturing many of you sitting in front of your computers reading this with eyebrows raised, solidly frozen into place with a stupid dumbfounded look on your face. Am I wrong? LOL!

 

I'm thinking that in the case of the girls that Jared messed with, though they were minors (which because of the law he deservedly has to take responsibility for) they were on board for the activity. If an adult is manipulating and acting out with an unsuspecting child, and especially a pre pubescent child, that is a world of difference than a 17 year old girl who wants to play.

 

Perhaps I am completely way off and that he truly does have attractions to very very young, but it would appear that it's towards girls that straddle the legal age, and not pre pubescent ones.

 

Now it looks like Jared's life is completely ruined and everyone here thinks that's just wonderful. If I'm understanding his offenses correctly, I'm not so certain I'm in agreement with how much prison suffering that he has to go through because of.

 

Aside from his particular tastes in young girls, it doesn't take too much to notice that Jared is not a fighting violent type dude you'd consider who could defend himself very well.

 

He mostly looks like a passive man-child who though he is now pushing 40, doesn't really look his age.

 

I'm assuming that the thug types that he has to deal with in prison are rough fighting violent types that are making his life a living hell, and for people to be celebrating and laughing that a guy like Jared with his passive nature is being beat up is downright immature, vulgar, and despicable, and I wouldn't hesitate to tell that to your face.

 

Yeah I've got a sense of humor with the best of them and I love to laugh, and I realize that some of you probably mean no harm and are just having a giggle to see what clever things you can say, but any of you who find it great that Jared has been beat up I would say from my perspective you are far worse a human being than Jared is and have no place to be acting all high and mighty and moral because to me anyone who finds it great that someone, and especially a non fighting type person, is being physically abused, is a shallow awful human being.

 

There... you have my straightforward opinion, and I only detailed my personal tastes to paint that though I'm not the least bit run of the mill, my tastes are just as valid as anyone else's all the while with me having not chosen them, just like none of you have either.

 

Because I'm different it has made me think, and realize that everyone doesn't just perfectly fall into a category of being "normal". All you "normal" high and mighty moral people tend to be the first ones who jump up to point out when someone isn't "normal". I'm not impressed.

If this older, rich, celebrity is messing with 16, 17, and "one day away from 18" year old girls, he is doing it out of pure manipulation of his money and power. Not accusing him of out right rape. But I highly doubt that they wanted to "play". Jared was coming from a place of money and power. That was the attraction to these almost 18 year olds. Not because he was someone they were attracted to and wanted to "play" with.

 

It's a well know fact that a woman's sexuality peaks much much later than 16, 17 and almost 18. These girls were likely poor and desperate and were "playing with Jared" to get something other than a subway sandwich. They were not playing with Jared because they wanted to play with Jared.

 

Jared knew what he was doing when he ate Subway each day and was compensated. Jared also knew what he was doing when he could not keep his pants zipped around those almost 18 year olds.

Since I was one of the ones who posted humor at Jared's expense. Let me post a few words. I'm 53. I love a good laugh. I don't know Jared and I doubt he is a Member of BGP. So I don't think that I am Bullying him as you suggest. He is a celebrity. With the fame comes greater responsibility. He failed miserably. He molested younger girls and had a passion for them. One girl, OK, but he had a pattern to molest more than one. Oh FYI, we do live in a country where it is illegal. He is in a low security prison so I'm guessing he is not a high risk for a daily beat down and I never wished it upon him. When you do bad things and have to go to prison bad things happen. I'm sure there are many other in the same prison with him that have taken a beating but we don't hear about them because they were not on TV 40 times a day.

Are you serious?! You think Jared is in trouble because he had sex with someone who was almost 18?! What about the child pornography found on his computers? Some of those girls were young enough to be in kindergarten. Him and his buddy from his foundation traded pics of children that were filmed in his buddy's house without their knowledge - kids as young as 9 years old! Jared asked prostitutes to find him young girls to have sex with and he said "the younger, the better". So yeah, I'm going to be shallow and if I may be so bold, I hope he continues to get the crap beat out of him in prison until the day he either walks out or is carried out.

But at the end of the day what I'm really addressing here is not what he has done, or am I really justifying it.

I wanted to describe where I was coming from and how I understood when a person has a preference that others won't necessarily understand because it's not the social norm, and that for me, though not the norm, I was lucky that I'm not attracted to younger, but those who are are not so fortunate with a preference that they didn't choose, and because of they have to seriously pull on the reins and not act out on their preference or else they'll pay the price if busted. The "normal" people of the world tend to just find anyone out of the norm as being nuts and don't always understand them.

 

I get where people object to Jared's behavior, and mostly definitely since he was abusing his celebrity to get what he wanted. I don't get celebrating him being beaten up, and I stand by my objection to those who think that it's so swell.
