Bible question.......

Is it okay for me to have sex with my wife even though I got a vasectomy to make sure I can't reproduce? Isn't biblical sex for reproduction purposes only?

Not just for reproductive purposes, but also for pleasure.

I wasn't arguing, I just needed clarification because you're initial question wasn't as cut and dried as you thought that it was. You say that it was simple, but it wasn't. I wanted to be more clear....what's so wrong with that? You're initial question had holes in it, I wanted to be more sure just exactly what you were asking.

Ok now that you understand the question, and I know that you wanted 100% clarification before you gave your YES or NO or at the very least voted in the above poll we are ready to hear your answer. :lol2:

Good deal. :thumb:

It's a good thing because I'm done reproducing.

I do not believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible.

Neither do I especially the Old Testament .

count me in this camp.

Christians need to read the bible for its literal meaning. So yes, I believe it is true.

And the bibles literal meaning doesn't necessarily mean that Adam and Eve are real either.

I do not believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible.

Same here.

For instance, the Creation myth and the Garden of Eden, the Great Flood, people living past the age of 800 years, parting the waters of the sea, virgin birth, just to name a few. Even as a young lad sitting in church with my parents I sensed that these stories might be fantasy.

I would love some.

In moderation of course.......that's what the Bible says right? In moderation?

You sound like a wannabe Catholic. :D

I'm looking for a friend here......

Dude no way. Sex between husband and wife isn't even close to a sin! That would be horrendous!

Do you believe the Bible and God?

Yes.

Do you believe the Bible is the word of God.

Yes.

Who believes they have to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and believes he died for their sins and rose again on the third day to gain entrance into heaven?

I do.

I believe the bible is 100% true and divinely inspired from God. I do not believe we are supposed to take every verse literally.

For example: I do not believe in the 7 literal days of creation. I do not believe the trees in the fields had actual hands and clapped. I do not believe that JEsus literally meant that Herod was a Fox (furry creature that runs around a lot)

I've always wondered what's the difference between the old and new testament? is it in the actual bible?

Pre Jesus, Jesus and post Jesus
