Lol. Don't have to worry about that. :ylsuper:

TBH that was a pretty rough statement you may want to follow it with jk or something

Ok I will change the question to that. Maybe I was not clear. Do you believe the Bible is the word of God. Its a cut and dry issue. Remember if you want to debate this create your own thread. So to be clear :

Do you believe the Bible in its entirety and it is the inspired word of God? Yes or No.

And B Ball Fan its it that simple. Whether you choose to make it hard is up to you. This thread was not meant to be argumentative. Just a thread for the Almighty to take note of.

Just because it is simple to you does not necessarily make it simple to everyone. This is a complicated question. Really it has nothing to do in my mind with the word of God, but men's interpretations or visions of God. Do I believe in God, yes, the Bible, not literally. Although, by and large it does provide good lessons to live by for the most part.

I think this line of questioning is just trying to get people to show some inconsistencies in their beliefs about same-sex marriage and the Bible and how it supposedly does not support it.

Not true. Valid thread. Just don't need a biblical or non-biblical commentary on this thread. Too much arguing. Just a simple question.

Well after some thought if one did believe the Bible is literal and takes it for its word, then it does happen to say that every thing is being recorded in books...Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works.

I wish there was another choice besides yes or no. Personally, I think there is a lot of truth in the Bible, but the fact that it was written by men, years after Jesus died, makes me believe that there was a whole lot of human interpretation and bias infused into it. I don't think it is an all or none thing.

Maybe I should have asked : Who believes they have to accept Jesus as Lord and Savior and believes he died for their sins and rose again on the third day to gain entrance into heaven?

You can't keep changing the question. You're breaking your own rule.

Yes, I believe the Bible and take it literally when the Biblical author intends to be taken literally and take it non literally when the Biblical author intends to be taken non literally, so it follows that I believe that Jesus Christ died for my sins and rose again so that I may have eternal life.

example of non literal intent -- Book of Revelation when describing the antichrist as a seven headed beast. He will be a human being and appear as a normal one. Otherwise it would be easy to pick him out of the crowd and 2 Thessalonians seems to indicate he will be unknown for a time.

example of literal intent--Paul describing what is necessary to salvation in 1 Cor. 15:1-4 that includes the death of Christ for sins, His burial, and His resurrection on the third day.

I wasn't arguing, I just needed clarification because you're initial question wasn't as cut and dried as you thought that it was. You say that it was simple, but it wasn't. I wanted to be more clear....what's so wrong with that? You're initial question had holes in it, I wanted to be more sure just exactly what you were asking.

I would love some.

In moderation of course.......that's what the Bible says right? In moderation?

Bible question.......

Is it okay for me to have sex with my wife even though I got a vasectomy to make sure I can't reproduce? Isn't biblical sex for reproduction purposes only?

I'm looking for a friend here......

Not only did you not answer yes or no, you asked a bunch of questions :)
